That would be huge  Karma is a nag

Not surprising that you would clap for injuries.

Royals looking for a young catcher.  Would you trade Norris for an equivalent pitching prospect?  Would the Royals even make that trade?  What about Ramos - who would bring back a lesser prospect?

XM MLB Network is talking as if they think it's a lock that Utley is out for the year/career with this knee thing.

Said they don't want to alarm anyone... but Utley very well may never play 2B again. Move to LF possible.

Still awaiting word on all the test... but based on speculation, they said it's likely he's out for the year.

Wow that's freaked up. It sucks for Utley.

That would be huge  Karma is a nag

Pathetic.  :?

You of all people should be someone that doesn't believe in Karma.

Flores got hurt on a foul ball, anyways.

I've never seen his style of play as intentionally trying to hurt other players. If one of your boys played with the same intensity (and talent) you would be the first to sing that player's praises for being a hard nosed, kick ass, no nonsense type of stud. But since he plays for the Phillies or you perceive him as hurting your pet player you are celebrating this devastating injury. That's weak. I neither worship nor hate players because they happen to be good.

He's talking about what happened at the plate a couple of years ago. Besides, Flores gets hurt if you even as much as fart in his direction.

I know, against Arizona. But Flores was taken out by Utley on an intentionally dirty play a few years ago.

He's a scumbag. I love to see bad things happen to awful, disgusting franchises like the Mets and Phillies.

He's talking about the high ankle sprain from the year before. Which was a clean play.

  Good one. But you know me better than that. I just think Utley is very talented and I wish we had several Utleys on our roster. As for their fans, I don't give a crap about Philly fans. They don't bother me one bit.

it was like two years ago, get the freak over it. you weren't like "freak that nag" about John Lannan when Lannan broke Utley's hand, and if Utley was a National you wouldn't ever hate him. cmon son.

I hate the phillies fans, but I'd never seriously wish injury on any of their players. thats pure nagassness.

1B with power come and go. Catcher's with Norris's skills are very rare.

Just my opinion... and full disclosure, I vastly overrate Norris... but I think he's going to be multi time All-Star special.

I'd probably trade him for a JZnn level pitcher.  Those are also pretty hard to get.

I think JZ is a good one... but I don't see him having the ceiling Norris does.

Fangraphs had Norris at a peak of 5+ WAR a season. Do you think JZ ever gets there?

I don't know.  I also don't know that Norris will get there.  But a JZnn level pitcher + Ramos might be worth more than Norris + whatever we get for Ramos (he was just traded for Capps).

I saw this in a Tracy Ringolsby column - http://www.foxsportswisconsin.com/msn/03/09/11/Injury-bug-continues-to-hit-Brewers/landing_brewers.html?blockID=436915&feedID=5059

---------
Just last spring, Baltimore pitching prospect Brad Bergesen battled a sore shoulder, suffered because he overthrew while appearing in an Orioles commercial shot in the offseason.
-------

Stupid Orioles.  Poor guy might have his career ruined while trying make a few extra bucks for Angelos.

There's a deal to be made there somewhere with one of those 3.  They mentioned Alex Gordon in the MLBTR piece, but I think the Nats would want more than AG back for one of those guys, but I think they concede he'll be expensive.  I'd personally love to get AG, but that's more for selfish reasons than anything.

I just don't see the need for the Nats to trade away their second best prospect for another pitching prospect.

The idea is to build up from the farm system, not trade away talent for, lets face it, likely a sinkerballer that has trouble striking out north of 6 K/9.
