we watched Rocky III tonight, the kids had never seen a Rocky film and I figured that was a good one to start with.  I still like all the Rocky films.

Love Rocky 1.  2 and 3 are good enough.  4 is passable at times.  5 never happened.  Rocky Balboa was a fantastic way to fix the series for longevity.

Started The Road, that movie is intense. Also watched Lymebug because it was randomly on, and Alec Baldwin vampirized his brothers talent to become a bloated Superbaldwin with magical acting powers.

EDIT: Yeah, The Road is REALLY good.

Re: Dark Tower movies..

Dennis Quaid looks a lot like I imagine Roland to look like as I read the books.

finally saw "Up in the Air" last night - absolutely fantastic movie.  I travel for work a lot and it was amazing how accurately they captured the "mileage perks as a status symbol" phenomena.

The Fast and the Furious 5, aka, Fast Five, trailer is up.

http://thefilmstage.com/2010/12/14/fast-five-trailer-pits-vin-diesel-vs-the-rock/

It has basically the entire cast from every movie except for Lucas Black, the main character of Tokyo Drift.

Between this and the next POTC movie, I'm about to limit myself entirely to indie house movies.

It feels like forever since I've seen Scrooged.  Forgot just how fantastic an update to A Christmas Carol it really is.

Tokyo Drift was pretty awesome. People are hating on it because of the name and the lack of Vin Diesel and Paul Walker... It really is a good movie. Well, none of these films are "great" but I guess I should say, watchable.

Prefontaine is a darn good movie. I love when I randomly turn on Showtime and find something great to watch, especially if it features R Lee Ermey.

Black Swan is crazy as hell. Definitely worth seeing.

Love and Other Drugs was a fun but heartfelt comedy. Also worth seeing.

Excited for Tron this weekend. And the movie featuring the Nats although I heard it was mediocre.

Have you seen Without Limits? It's a little bit better than Prefontaine, IMO. Both are good movies.

Dad's In Heaven With Nixon -  a documentary about a father with bipolar disorder, a son with autism, and their family. It shows the fathers decline and the son's soaring rise. It's a beautiful movie.

Saw the Town last night for the first time.  Solid flick.  Would absolutely recommend it.

Draper (Hamm) and Affleck are studs in it, Blake Lively :az:

have seen it twice already ... i liked it.  affleck directed it and did a good job.  there are some predictable storylines and it seems kinda rushed/jumping around from time to time, but all in all good movie.

just finished seeing midnight run for the first time ever.  haha awesome, hilarious movie.  very cool concept.

As a big time movie fan... embarrassed to say this... but I just saw Good Will Hunting for the first time last night.

Fantastic movie. Robin Williams was at the top of his game. The exchange between Damon/Williams were classic.
