crap, I didn't read your response all that well.

Another thing about Spiderman 3.

What the freak was Sandman all about? Boo hoo, my daughter is sick, so I'll steal... but I really have a heart of gold.

Then, after I've done a ton of damage and crap, Spiderman will let me go because he really knows I'm a good guy and I'll eventually change my ways.

LAME.

They freaked it up in Spiderman 1. Sandman was the dude that killed Uncle Ben the whole time, wasn't he?

"WHERE ARE YOU GOING? WHERE IS HE/SHE!?" etc.

This little boy pulls it off pretty well =

I heard Bale is planning on changing it up a little in Batman 3.  Something more like this:

Hey! It's easily done when referring to Batman. Those are superb films.

I was so hyped for Spiderman 3... I guess it could cloud my judgement... but honestly, it's just a terrible film.

Harry bumps his head and get amnesia. Lame
Sandman. Lame
Emo dancing on tables. Super Lame.
Venom being a bit part. Lame.
Venom not being able to talk without removing his 'mask'. Lame.
Letting Sandman get away. LAME.

Nah.

Spiderman 2 is one of my favorite movies ever. It's colorful, it's fun, it doesn't take itself seriously, etc. etc.

Spiderman 3 was a mailed in job by everyone involved... and it showed.

Not as good as the first two, but I definitely wouldn't go that far.  But whatever, why are we still talking about this?

I meant why are we still talking about Spiderman 3.  Different tastes.  All views have been made at least twice.  Let's move on.

There were probably 2 good movies in there if written/acted well.  Instead Spiderman 3 = X-Men: The Last Stand.  Too many stories jumbled into too small a time frame.

So last night after asking about Smokin' Aces and it having Chris Pine who was in Star Trek made me want to watch Star Trek   I was going to watch the new reboot but decided on First Contact instead.

So I ended up watching Star Trek: First Contact last night, standing in my kitchen, with headphones on with my iPhone.  Instead of the 46" tv.  I watched a 2 hour movie on a 3.5" cellphone screen instead of a big flat screen tv.  :wtf:

Anyway, it is a decent movie.  It's not GREAT because it seems almost more like a 2 part TNG episode put together with better special effects.

The scene in Picard's ready room with Lily is especially filled with awesome.  It took way too long for Patrick Stewart to be knighted, he's a magnificent actor.

Exactly. EXACTLY.

Spiderman 3 could've been a great movie. It sounded to good to be true with all the plots. I mean come on: 3 villains? A reformed relationship? 1 of the 3 villains is the longest story arc in the Spiderman series (venom)! That was already a longshot.

It should've been like what the Dark Knight was. A long movie dedicated to the best rivalry in that franchise. Venom vs Spiderman (even cooler when Carnage comes!). Then they add The Hob Goblin and The Sandman?! It just seemed way to forced to fit into a 3 hour movie. Then they had so many smaller corny things (the emo dancing did it for me). It was entertaining in an aspect of an action hero movie but it could've been way better.

Same goes for X-Men 3. It failed worse than Spiderman 3 did. Stick to the story! I wish Bryan Singer directed it. It was awful. I don't even know where to begin. I was pumped to see The Phoenix but it just shat all over itself. I wish that series would get rebooted. 1 was a pretty awesome, unique way of starting off the series. Then 2 was just fantastic IMO (the Wolverine storyline is so awesome). 3 just shat the bed big time. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (and the other films coming out) are a cool conept as well. Wolerine stuck to what it was intending to be: A jam packed action movie. Wasn't that great of a story but was damn near entertaining.

I thought we were going to black out for spoilers. Damn, now SM3 is not going to be seen as I know too much.

Except for how they handled Deadpool, excuse me, Weapon XI.

Reynolds better get around to doing that Deadpool movie, the character deserves it after what happened in Wolverine.

I'm thinking 3.5 years after release is plenty of time to not worry about spoilers.

True. The whole thing with Gambit was a bit weak too I might add. Gambit is such a badass. They definitely need to reboot X-Men and follow the storyline somewhat and use the same actors for each film (Cotton from Scream as Sabretooth in X-Men would've been cool).

I don't get why people crap on Spiderman.  I thought all three films were fine in their own ways, and I really had no problem with the length of the third or the emotional scenes.  God forbid there should be any range to a character.  Sure the way they portrayed it was occasionally hamfisted but so what?  Spiderman is meant to be tad campy.  Not '60s Batman level, but just a bit.

Batman Begins and Dark Knight are every bit as "bad" in that respect, but I guess because the tone is dark and brooding instead of colorful and self-aware, it's okay.

Don't ever talk movies again.  All Spiderman's were trash.  The Batman series is as good as film gets.

I'm kinda surprised he didn't LOVE the spiderman films considering they've got some of the whitest casts ever assembled.
