The Deadpool script was leaked and its supposedly really good.

Quote
Ryan Reynolds is currently readying for his big tentpole debut as Green Lantern next year. But now that we've read a script review for his other superhero movie, Deadpool, we're more excited about Wade Wilson than Hal Jordan. Spoilers ahead...

Thanks to Josh Tyler over at Cinemablend, we're even more excited for the Deadpool film, and we didn't think that was possible. Check out his glowing recap:

The review states that while the script says it's written by Zombieland scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the whole script read like something out of the mind of Quentin Tarantino. This sound pretty plausible as Wernick and Reese are also fans of the rapid-fire dialog. And it's exactly what we would have hoped for Deadpool.

In its best moments, Deadpool is like reading Van Wilder meets Kill Bill, a genius mix of insane dark comedy and ridiculous over the top violence the likes of which we've never seen in any other superhero movie before.
And the praise doesn't stop coming. The review marvels at the script's ability to bring two superhero movie genres together: Deadpool supposedly combines the bleak horror of Dark Knight with the spectacular highs of Iron Man. Plus the entire thing was made for Ryan Reynolds — no one else can do this character, and if it ever gets made, Reynolds will hit a new level of pop icon-hood.

But what about Wolverine, and the mess that film made of Wade's origin? While they don't say exactly what happens, it sounds as though Deadpool breaks the fourth wall to let the audience know that he thinks it sucked too. So let's all pretend it never happened.

Other important facts: it's not a traditional origins story where the audience starts at the beginning. This film will start with Deadpool at the peak of his career, with flashbacks here and there. Which would mean plenty of Ryan Reynolds face time, pre-horrific scarring.

I forgot Ryan Reynolds is also The Green Lantern!

Click here for my review of 127 Hours. Or don't click if all you want to know is: it's pretty darn intense.

Very nice job, HN.  The story is indeed quite incredible, and it sounds like they did a good job moving it to the silver screen.

I do have one question regarding your review - you say " Aron Ralston’s life played in slow motion before his eyes, over the course of three agonizing days", but wasn't it over 5+ days (ie 127 hours)?

Same goes for me... if you find it, send it my way.

I am expecting big things for this movie... always have since I saw the guys from Zombieland were writing the script.

I sent Jmad the script but there is a password for it. I can send the script but good luck finding the password. Not sure where he found it.

Cracking PDF passwords is simply, fast, and legal. Google it.

Unstoppable was really good.

Words cannot describe how much Skyline sucked. ESPECIALLY the end.

But how badass did Battle: Los Angeles look?

Freaking awesome.

Unstoppable was intense... great action flick.

But you knew this going in... Denzel + Tony Scott = money

I don't know.  I haven't seen it, but the premise seems shaky to me.  So it's a train that's going down the rails with nobody in it.  So, like, what's the problem?  It's not like it can go anywhere except where the rails lead it.

Even the trailer for Skyline looks stupid to me.  Every time I see the unstoppable trailer I can't help thinking "Kirk!"

a brief summary of Skyline, just to save folks some money:

some chick says she is pregnant. then giant vaginas from outer space attack, Donald faison dies, everyone else hides in a room for over half the movie, one guy gets a magic red brain, becomes good superalien, good superalienmagicredbrainguy finds pregnant chick, good super alien strikes a pose, movie ends.

oh, and the most pointlessly random single usage of slow motion in the history of cinema.

It's a travesty how Spider-Man 3 goes mostly unrecognized as one of the most awful movies of all time.

Unrecognized? I think at least 99% of the internet agrees that it was awful.

The first two sucked, so didn't see the 3rd.  Most overrated movie ever.

That's where I have to disagree. The first two were decent movies. Third just blew major ass.

Well the point is the train is full of explosives that could destroy a 40-mile radius, and there is a school bus with a bunch of little kids stopped on the tracks.

Man you have a good memory!

I actually saw it 3 times in the theater.  The first time I was pretty disappointed, but after seeing it the second time I started to appreciate it for what it was instead of what I had been expecting it to be.  By the third time I was just taking my brother and sister to see it, and liked it just fine.

unrelated:

I would once again like to stick up for Spiderman 3.  Those of you calling it the most awful movie ever are either prone to extreme hyperbole or are seriously lacking perspective.
