2007 Forum Awards

http://www.wnff.net/index.php/topic,1952.0.html

Was thinking about this and ran into that thread. Not too many responded last season, but I there are a lot more members now. I figure separate threads could be started for each award once the nominees are in. The voting could go on until the end of the season. What do you guys think?

Here are the nominees:

MVP
spidernat, NOTLD, Dave B, The Chief, Kenz A Fan

ROY
Evolution33, shoeshineboy, ronnynat, natsfan1a

Most Classic Quote
"Luke Scott, how does it feel to get struck out 3 times by Mike Bacsik in one game?"
   -sportsfan882

"Given the diameter of that pole, I don't think I want to see the stripper. But everything is bigger in Texas, right? Yuck."
   -GBurgNatsFan

"Without his attitude, the team probably has 20 less wins this season."
   -Nats19

"just because we're a pretty face to look at, doesnt mean we know jack about baseball... :-)"
   -Ericas Nats

"wonder how many of those fans paid outrageous money for these seats prior to knowing that 756 was hit in yesterdays game. "
   -Senators2005

"When Bacsik SAID on tv that he was PROUD to give up the homer, and that Bonds gave him an autographed bat, he should have been FIRED on the spot.  He should have told Bonds that he could take that bat and SHOVE IT UP HIS ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  DROP DEAD BACSIK, YOU SPINELESS WUSSIE crapHEAD!!!!!!!!!"
   -nats2playoffs

"The Braves are out of gas, 2-1 series win

I'll never admit to believing in the Mets capability to winning even a single game, so 3-0 in that one.  I'm pretty sure they are 0-145, and there is just a mis-print in the standings.

The Phillies, though running out of steam, get excited at leading the division when our sweep of the Mets coincides with Mitchell report revealing that everyone in baseball is on hallucinagenics, and the Mets have indeed lost every game they ever played.  Highly inspired, the Phillies win the first two games before realizing they are still the Phillies, and the Nats win the last two games in RFK - with Zimmerman hitting  a walkoff HR the final game."
   -NatsAddict

"How about asking him if he's willing to seek help from a therapist to overcome his phobia of the strike zone?"
   -spidernat

It would probably work better if we came up with a longer list of categories and maybe narrow down the list of nominees so that we can have it done in poll fashion to make it easier.

Yeah, like have people come up w/ the awards and nominees on here. Then make separate polls w/ those categories and names. Whatever works..just thought it'd be fun.

Most informative is another lock. We should probably have both but most knowledgeable would be tough since we have some good ones on here.

See, that's a good thing. I figure once it actually got to voting, people wouldn't be as hesitant to get involved.

That was the point of my  We have some good girls here and I don't think that would happen with them but it would be funny. Besides, I don't think we have that many girls anyway.

How about most optimistic? I'm not even in the same planet of that discussion :?

Excellent suggestions.

What would be the opposite of the Youngin Award?

The veteran award for anyone 45 or over?

Also, can we define craziest poster?

Nice one on the Veteran Award. Hmm..craziest poster could be the most out of their mind or the one that words things the craziest I guess. Maybe the name could be changed...or we could remove that one.

Think we should be able to vote for the same poster multiple times, or open it up so more people are involved? I'd say be able to vote for someone multiple times, but I'd understand why we'd do it the other way, too.

K..You think we're good? I'm gonna keep craziest poster, because I figure whoever doesn't get angriest will probably get craziest.
