The absolute worst signing in Nats history. Screw the apologists who refer to his 3 inning outing in game 7. How many games did he lose in the past three years?
It'll take some time but don't worry, Strasburg will eventually claim that throne. It's not his fault, but it is what it is.
I'd say that he's already there
Corbin may have thrown his arm out to help the team win the World Championship. Since then, he and Stras have never been the same.
Corbin just has no control, Stras is different.
If opponents can lay off the stuff in the dirt, Corbin really has no "out pitch." He's not fooling hitters at all.
He fooled the Lerners.
He's gonna make a career out of fooling the Astros for 3 innings...
I will give him an excellent 2019 other than that one appearance versus the Dodgers.
World Series game 7 was his finest moment, but he has turned into Gio 2.0
...and the Astros in Game 4 of the WS...]Yes
And the Cards in Game 4
That's an unfair insult to Gio. We got a good bit more out of him before he crashed and burned.
Gio had a sub-4 ERA, made 30+ starts, and threw 175+ innings every season from 2012 -2017 except one in that stretch. Not an ace, but if Corbin gave you that we'd be ecstatic.
sub 4 ERA? That’s like saying a batter hit above .250.
