today's start should be interesting. Seems he's overdue for a 4 IP, 8 ER game.
A chance to rest Finnegan, Rainey and Law.

Notice that you mention Tanner among the three. If Rainey is almost back to being a good reliever, then it is time to cheer.

well, he's overworked so even if he's not one of the keys, he should get a day off. It's Salazar and La Sorsa who should pitch in a blowout or behind.

Way overdue. He has had bounces before.

Only a few more starts left.  Also why it’s good not to get too up or down over 2-3 starts, he’s still the same pitcher

I don’t know if this has been discussed in years past but did Corbin earn his record with the ‘Backs by using sticky stuff.?

Its possible. But like, everyone else found a way around it, so why didn't he?

Different skill set. Difference in the type of pitches thrown. Difference in number of times used. Some pitchers didn’t need it and others relied on it to different degrees and situations.

I think it may have contributed, but I also think it was other things.

Can we start a countdown on how many starts he has left? What are we at, 3?

He got older, and lost a lot of velocity, rather than getting hurt like many older pitchers do.  He also didn't adjust with better non-fastball control, which is no surprise given the coaching here.

Good to see no comments that he's "not too bad" after beating the Marlins.  Throw four seamers down the middle and you can beat them.

For what it's worth, Corbin never missed a start in six seasons.  Now that he's gone I see why they kept him around after he got Win #100.  He's a good role model for the young starters on the team.  Now he can RETIRE with dignity and multi-generational wealth.
