Robles alone wouldn't fetch Snell, let alone Ramos and bullpen help with him. You guys are really misinformed on how good Snell is.

Yea, and he's already improved it at 25 to where this season his walk rate is fine. Not even Robles would bring back Snell in return.

Usually 5 tool top prospects fetch more than pitching, but yes, it'd take more than Robles for Snell b/c he's in the middle of a break out at the MLB level. No, I wasn't saying Robles alone would fetch that whole package; I was saying for Snell, I'd be willing to break the never trade Robles pledge I took. Stick him in a package, and I'd make it big enough to get Ramos, too. Probably take Antuna or Garcia, and Crowe, and another big piece.

Sure, I'd trade the unknown in Robles for a guy now proven as a stud MLB starter this year that also was a top prospect, is just 25, is a lefty, and has 4 more years of control. I don't see why the Rays would want to do that. We don't have any other prospects to add to Robles that should entice them.

I think you may be right. I think Snell is incredibly valuable. It's just a top 5 prospect is still a heck of a chip, and I have admittedly rose-colored view of Antuna and Garcia. If we then get to trying quantity of B level guys to make up for lack of studs, then we end up stripping the minors.

We really need to look at expiring contracts or well-compensated guys as trade targets.

Mistake to trade an everyday player for a pitcher. Pitchers get hurt more often.

We have absolutely no P depth due to trading away arms for the past several years.

Not saying I disagree with you (screw trading Soto or Robles) but we need to draft better and actually develop some pitchers...even relief guys.

I think all the depth is coming. we have drafted nothing but pitchers the last 2 years. Crowe, Sharp are a little ahead of most.Also Rodriguez is definitely gonna be something eventually whether it be starting or the pen.

I’ll take Matt Harvey if he brings Scooter Gennett along for the ride.

Harvey’s actually been pretty decent since he got to the Reds. Not my first choice for trade target but he’s probably one of the cheapest SP that’s going to be on the market.

Harvey has been pretty good for Cincy. 3.86 ERA / 1.099 WHIP. 18.1, 3ER in his last 3 starts.

6.87 K/9 rate. This isn't the old Matt Harvey. Thinking of him as anything more than Hellickson is dumb at this point.

It would be nice to get Iglesias, but I"m not sure how necessary that is. I also think it's idiotic to try and turn him into a starter mid-season, so if you plan on doing that, it's the plan for next season.
