Hey, I had to learn too. After really learning the heritage here was only when I started to get it. The "Great American Sport" and the history of someone like Walter Johnson and the 24 Nats/Senators is what makes me love the game.

Well said. Franchise fans are welcome but a lot of us respect a heritage, not a business relationship. The heritage of DC baseball, from Walter, Goose and Muddy to Roy, Harmon and Hondo is a better one than most think. If they (ever) build it, we will come.

It's not, but understand that the folks here remember watching Hondo hit them out of RFK and that meant something to them. They don't care about Vladi hitting one out of the Big O because they didn't have baseball then. How many baseball fans in Montreal are Nats fans? I'd guess that most have switched allegiances to the Jays, just as many in DC switched to being dreadful Borioles fans. 

All I'm saying is that there are very few that uphold the heritage of the Expos, and for me as a fan, the Nats have been around longer than the Expos (fan since 98, so 10 years of Nats and only 6 of Expos). While it is a worthwhile heritage to uphold, the DC city heritage means more to the people and current fans. The current owners were Senators fans, and are dead set in upholding that tradition.

Rizzo went into this season with a garbage bullpen, and plenty of folks here knew it and said it.  I agree Williams hasn't managed well but this team has performed so poorly it doesn't matter who's running the team.
