Yup Braves are done losing. Minor has found his groove.

Nats are in bad shape.

:smh: Minor has two decent starts against poor opponents and a good start against a slumping A's team and Minor has "found his groove"

Barves ain't making the playoffs. Book it.

Read last night's game thread. All it takes is a couple of losses and some are in full Panic Monkey mode.

I don't get it - the lead will be 6, not 16.  The Nats are the odds on favorite, but it's not like it's unheard of for this to go down to the wire.

It's 6 games, not 1 - with 2 games in hand -  it's the largest division lead in baseball

I'm aware of the situation, and baseball is littered with teams that blew a lead in the final month.  Nothing about the Nationals situation is bulletproof.  Part of enjoying it is not being a blind homer unable to recognize reality.

What reality? That they have the largest division lead in all of baseball?

It's actually rare to blow a lead this large this late in the season. Why automatically go to the lowest common denominator?  Unlike the Braves which are SIX games back, the Nats are in FIRST PLACE.

Could they lose the lead? Of course. But that hasn't happened. That isn't close to happening. Why invent scenarios that don't exist?

Seriously, what reality are you talking about exactly?

I took a few years of Latin and was curious.   Oh, and by the way, it wasn't my native tongue.  ;)

Where were you when Mets gagged up a huge division lead a few years ago??

Red Sox and Braves too.
