Yeah but first you'd have to get to one of his posts, right?  So for CarolinaNatsFan or Tyler Durdin, we don't readily have a post.

I vaguely recall Durdin, as a poster who asked very infantile, almost unintelligible questions. I always thought he was a troll. But I may have him confused with someone else.
I provided links to their profiles a few posts up. It was CarolinaNatsFan anyway.

Hey guys. This pennant race just got really personal for me. When I lived in Charlotte I met a coworker there, his name was big Mike and he had recently moved to NC from DC. I got really close to him because he was the only other Nats fan  I had knew in NC. We talked constantly about the Nats and were on shift together the night we clinched. We looked like idiots dancing around the breakroom. The day after game 5 he told me that was the first time he had cried in years. he was 51 years old and he told me all he wanted was to live long enough to see the nats play in the world series. I just found out that he died in November . We had stayed in touch by text and stuff all last season but I had been trying to reach him this season and never heard from him. Now I know why. he was the guy who introduced me to this forum and told me to stop by and visit, I would like it here. When I moved away he gave me this great nats flag to hang outside my new house and its been hanging every day since spring training started. I am so incerdibly sad that he never got to see them play in the world series and more than ever I want them to get there this year now... for BIG MIKE

Vicki, so sorry about Big Mike and the circumstances of his death. Very tragic, somehow that makes it worse then some other situations I can think of. You are very welcome here, I think you'll find a 'interwebz family' that you can lean on and cheer with. Lots of folks on this forum have experiences bad things in their lives, and never once have I not be amazed about the amount of support that pours out from people some have never met. I think you'll be amazed. And on that note, let's  :w: for Big Mike!

Thanks to all of you for your support.. And for listening. What I really think we should do now is get back to the baseball and winning this thing for Mike.

What I really need tonight is

1- get to 8 1/2 up on the Braves in the standings.

2- plunk a Philly just for the hell of it

3- Bryce steals home to commemorate Cole Hammels lack of appreciation night.

Yep its gonna take a lot of baseball to heal these wounds but that would get me on the way....

You should start the GDT...

Under "Game Day" on the Home Page, there are instructions.    Go to the "New Topic" and start a thread.    Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can.   Plus, we have a good bench with N2P, etc.       :P

VaRK found it:     http://www.wnff.net/index.php?topic=30997.0

If Bob and/or FP really read this site, it would be appreciated if they YOU mention "Big Mike".

I looked at it... its all Greek to me. and I cant do graphics..blah blah blah. I'm pulling the damsel in distress card here. But lucky for me someone already 1/2 started one. So on that note I am going to fold a load of laundry, cook dinner, and finish labeling all of my daughters stuff for her first day of kindergarten and will be back in time to watch an ass kicking..

For future reference don't worry about graphics. Most of the time I just post the lineups. But you can learn to do graphics. It's really simple once you get the basics down. You really need to be initiated by starting one before the playoffs start..

And don't forget you can edit your own posts.  So put a placeholder in place to start the thread, then go back and enhance as necessary.

If you're really nice N2P will sometimes post cool stuff a few posts in, and a helpful mod  :halo: may come around and move it into your thread if it's missing basic stuff like lineups, or great N2P graphics of bouncing bosoms.
