We lost and the Braves won. Panic and fear, my friends. The season is over. What a nightmare.

They're easily the most disappointing - I know that Joey Votto is out - but Geez Louise - stop sucking already

Pretty much, though Steve Bartman does deserve some credit for his biggest bust year.

Braves hottest team in baseball
Toast. Atlanta refuse to lose boys
freaking losER Nats. Braves are gutty
Season. Braves have heart.

Listen, bravesfan882. This is not a forum for Braves fans. If you're such a big freaking Braves fan, go find the goddamn Braves fan forum. Go tell your fellow freaking Braves lovers about how they're the hottest team, they're gutty, and they have heart, and then you can fantasize about sucking Evan Gattis's tiny, twiggy crotch thumb. I'm sick of your Braves fan bullcrap and so are the rest of us.

We accept dual loyalty team fans like TigerFan and JCA. But you're not even dual loyalty anymore. You're a Braves-loving troll who wants the Nats to lose so you can ejaculate hate all over our avatars. I don't care if they're gutty and they have heart and they're better than us. I still hate them and I'm still convinced we're going to throw their smug asses under the Coca-Cola diabetes truck. The Braves fan love-ins are not welcome on this board. If I catch your Georgia-born, Sherman-hating, peanut-farming ass spewing "Braves have heart" bullcrap here again, I'll send Copecwby20 over there to rearrange your tooth.

The Reds look completely disinterested in playing out the rest of the year.  I watched much of that game after ours got out of hand and it is a sad state of affairs for them.  Show some pride people.

Some of these posters are almost too much to take sometimes. They just won 10 straight games and walked off night after night. They fought hard and yet they have no heart because they lost on a night the Braves happened to win? I am sick of reading that crap day after day after day. And I no longer believe the justification that all of the doom and gloom is a defense mechanism because the Nats disappoint the fans so often. The Nats are not perfect but they are kicking ass right now and one small blunder against a good team does not change that. I am ok with criticizing blunders but this goes above and beyond. People who feel the need to rip apart everything about the Nats surely can find somewhere else to do that besides a forum where some of us are trying to enjoy an exciting season.

So when "good" pitchers get no-hitters they should be reigned upon but when anyone you don't think is good enough throws a no-hitter it is pure luck?  Child please.

Some pitchers have gotten lucky more than once.  :stir:

Somebody posted a couple days ago that on Fox Sports Gabe Kapler called us the best team in the NL, and then his studio mate, Frank Thomas, said he was unimpressed because we were barely beating bad teams.  Well yesterday I saw a segment where CJ Nitkowski was again talking about how well positioned the Nats are, and once again Frank Thomas was actually smirking as Nitkowski was talking.  The host then said to Frank, "I can tell by your reaction that you are not buying the Nationals."  Thomas went on to say the Nats are known for playing well in August and then burning out in September.  He said he has seen teams peak too soon and that is what we are doing.  He finished by saying he expects the Braves to catch us and win the division."  We will see about that Frank.

Who knows what he really thinks?     Those guys are paid to entertain, and taking opposite sides of an argument is often just   :stir:

On the other hand, I'm sure there are a few folks out there besides SF who really do believe the Braves won't lose again after last night.
