I watched Sex Drive and The Goods: Live Hard Sell Hard, the past two days. They were alright movies. I didn't expect anything great but I did expect some funny scenes. They were just that.

I think I liked The Goods more because it was a comedy and thats the mood I was in for. Sex Drive was more of a "romcom".

The goods was so stupid.

Just finished Christine. I read the book 15 years ago, but the movie is a trip.

It was stupid but it had so many stupid lines that I found hilarious.

*The stripper begins to suck her heel*
"Now that's just gross... but don't get me wrong, I still have a boner"

I cracked up at that line. He felt it was necessary to still share that hahah.

Batman 3 info:

Quote
Christopher Nolan has finally broken his silence about the forthcoming Dark Knight sequel, announcing the film's title and ruling out a character who, up until this point, was thought to be frontrunner for the villain of the piece.

Speaking to Hero Complex, Nolan revealed that the Batman 3 title will be The Dark Knight Rises, and in a move that may surprise some fans, he said that the film's villain won't be The Riddler.

That should come as a disappointment to Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy - thought to be favourites to win that particular part - although the latter will still apparently appear in an unspecified role.

Nolan also announced that the sequel would be shot in 2D rather than 3D, thereby retaining the high-definition IMAX approach that served him so well on the first two films.

The Dark Knight Rises will again be scripted by Christopher and Jonah Nolan, based on a story by David Goyer.

Pretty cool I guess. I wonder who the villain could be. Penguin?

Thank god its 2d.

My respect for Nolan just went up a notch.  3D is a stupid gimmick, and I've never cared for Riddler as a villain.

Tom Hardy is in the movie.

As I've said before, that's all I need.

One possible enemy could be Deadshot. Basically he's a sniper that's deadly accurate, out to discredit/replace Batman and he's also a ladies man. They could mix socially and in costume without Deadshot knowing the truth about Bruce Wayne. May be a bit too Harvey Dent-ish, but I could see it working.

Hardy could pull the character off quite well.

thinking of possible villains, there's quite a few to chose from.  personally, i wouldn't want penguin or catwoman (just yet).  here are a few options i could see:

>i think harley quinn would be awesome (especially considering we're just coming off a film that featured the joker).

>i could see Talia al Ghul, seeing how batman axed her dad in the first flick.

>black mask, just because of his hatred for bruce wayne.

>mad hatter?  i don't know if the alice in wonderland storyline will appeal to batman film fanatics.

>deadshot.  as you said linty, he's not a bad option.

>firefly ... would be pretty cool to see gotham go up in flames.

>holiday ... they are building up the carmone angle, why not include a carmone family member in holiday.

>manbat?  as the case with a killer croc (nolan hasn't really been going to mutant/human transformation route - that's more of hulk/spiderman/etc), but batman vs. manbat would be cool.

>if two-face isn't dead they could bring into play Hush and clayface.

...i would love to see freeze/bane/poison ivy, i just think we've seen them recently, nolan would probably like to hold off on that route.  i am surprised it's not riddler, because i think coming off the recent joker flick having riddler featured would be awesome.

They could do a realistic Bane... just cut out the toxins and switch it to a massive amounts of Steroids/HGH and it's a somewhat similar story... with a dose of realism thrown in.

They could do Mr. Freeze!

But people are saying if they did a Penguin, they should make him a mob boss or dirty politician.

I was watching Spider Man 2 on HBO earlier and I have to say, that movie was pretty damn awesome. Best of the series and it may be one of the best superhero movies. Doc Ock (and the actor) is such an awesome character. Plus, it had one of the coolest scenes IMO. When MJ and Peter are meeting in the coffee shop. Doc Ock comes when they are about to kiss and he throws the car in there. Was such a cool scene (even though you can easily tell they are on a green screen the entire time).

Awful title, but I'm sure it will be good.

The Town was a damn good movie.  Affleck is a great director.  Really gritty, closest movie to Heat, which is my favorite movie of all time.

I could never get past PMS/EMO nag Spiderman in this series (I know, Tobey McGuire can't actually do anything other than that, but it still sucked).  Add in the douchebag losing his powers because of his "emotional" state, walking past people in need, etc. and I just couldn't wait for these to stop.

Hopefully 10-15 years from now we'll get a quality reboot with a socially awkward, not socially inept, Peter Parker character.  If we get another Spiderman 3, with everyone crying in every freaking scene, I'm gonna go postal on whomever is responsible.

I did like the villains in 2 and 3.

Affleck is solid in my book.  A lot of people crap on him, I think the dude has some talent.  Jeremy renner is a great actor a lot of people don't know about.  Looks like some decent looking broads too.

Trailer looked amazing and all the reviews by critics/fans have been 3 thumbs up.

And of course the one the only jon hamm/don draper is in it so it has to be good.

Affleck is in the criminally underrated Smokin Aces.

Great shoot 'em up flick.

I know it had really corny parts. I mean REALLY corny parts, but it was the only one out of the 3 that I felt was actually decent. The corny parts never really bothered me. 3 was absolute crap and 1 was an okay intro to the series... Can't say much though.

And if you didn't know, they are rebooting Spiderman soon with Andrew Garfield as Spiderman (the dude from social network).

I enjoy Smokin Aces but I felt like they tried to put in so much crap to make it an action movie. I enjoyed it though. Funny seeing Chris Pine as the german squad (and Keamy). Ryan Reynolds is a versatile actor. Not great, but he gets the job done. He can be funny, emotional, serious, etc. That movie is the perfect type of movie to watch and drink to with friends.

Great shoot 'em up flick.

He's done classics such as "good will hunting"/"dazed and confused", fart joke movies like "jay and silent bob" and then some blockbuster lead roles like "armageddon"/"pearl harbor".

He's really not as bad as everyone says, imo.

I saw some of the ads for 127 hours watching Obama on the Daily Show. Never had heard of this movie before. It looked like the corniest, biggest joke film of all time. Before I saw the last bit of the commercial where it showed it was a real film, I was certain it was some Comedy Central joke trailer. This makes Open Water and Open Water 2 seem freaking exciting. Then you have James Franco get his arm caught, and the trailer cuts to a scene where he does this goofy "Oops!"?!? WTF?

So I look it up online and it seems not only is it a serious film, but it's gaining critical acclaim in previews. Is this a case of it being from the director of Slumdog Millionaire, and featuring a true story of a harrowing hiker who cuts off his arm, so it must be an Oscar nom? I've never seen such a joke of a film via the trailer in a long, long, long time. This film looks beyond bad.

No, apparently it's an amazing film. Just like the true story.

I agree that the trailer was not done well, though.

Can't disagree with the over the top comment. They packed a lot of actors and a lot of crap into a short period of time.

Reynolds is my ultimate man crush. I'd have his kids.

For his serious roles, check out Chaos Theory. Good movie.

Love the ending to Smokin Aces. Reynolds, the music, the realization... everything, it was perfect.

Yeah. The ending was pretty awesome. It showed that Reynolds can act.

As for the topic of Man Crushes: That one goes to Marky Mark. crap I can watch Four Brothers and Boogie Nights over and over again. (Well, Boogie Nights because I get to see Heather Grahm's boobies.) Four Brothers, though, is such an awesome movie. One of my favorites. That goes along with movies like Saving Private Ryan, Boondock Saints, Gladiator, and Goldeneye.
