On the topic of the bullpen, how'd folks feel about Chris Martin? 39 next June, but coming off some nice years with Boston. Sub-3 FIPs, low 3s xERA, a 1.05 and a 3.45 ERA, absurdly good K/BBs (27.8 K% / 1.7 BB%) with a break mid year due to anxiety issues. that probably doesn't cut him out to be a closer, but he's pitched high leverage set up. He'll be vastly cheaper than guys he's likely to out-pitch in 2025. If the goal is to give Ferrer or someone else a chance to take over as closer, Martin would strengthen a "bullpen A" and probably could close a bit in the right situations.
