Anyone hear anything about Derek Law? Seems odd that he hasn't pitched yet.

They were going light on his work because he pitched 90 innings last year. Plan was to start him slow. It's only a week.

too much coddling. Back in my day pitchers threw 90 innings a week, in the snow, without a mound or a glove.

Back in my day, the Nats' Tom Cheney threw sixteen innings of shutout ball, striking out about 24 Baltimore players.

Well, his point about 1st, dh, and 3rd is exactly what the 'shiners have argued. Corbin too. Lots of additions by subtraction

I’ve made a few of those arguments.

Boswell is Patron Saint for Sunshine Squad with that article.

I’m not someone to ever get ultra mad about owners not spending. It’s not my money. Not hard for me to think “wow, Lerners got cheap” and still enjoy moves made by this team. I am excited to watch it much more than I’ve been past few years.

It’s a game. I’m not stressing.

I think it's pretty obvious that the Lerners don't care about the team's performance. Why should I?

It's a sport. You don't have to. You can spend your time and money on things more important to life, but sports tend to be among the most important of the unimportant things.

But you keep posting on WNFF, so it seems you're one of us who still care.

Someone is showing maturity. Yes, as you stated last week I would have liked Bregman and Santander also instead of DeJong and Bell. Those seem to be stop gap measures.  Rizzo seems confident that House will be ready this season and if they select LaViolette and he ascends to the show with a brief stop in the minors that Wood could be the 1B or DH. We have many candidates for the 3rd OF spot.

With Jessica Camerato posting her suggested 26-man (https://www.mlb.com/nationals/news/nationals-2025-opening-day-roster), here's an update:

Where we stand: 3/10 edition:

Starters (Camerato has this list too)
1B: Lowe
2B: Garcia Jr.
SS: Abrams
3B: DeJong
LF: Wood
CF: Young
RF: Crews
C: Ruiz
DH: Bell

Bench: Camerato has Call, Rosario, Yepez, and Adams. Odd men out would be Milas, Knizner, Tena, Baker, Lipscomb, Nunez, and Chaparro.

Rotation: Camerato has Gore, Irvin, Soroka, Williams, and Parker with Herz and Ogaswara heading to Rochester.

Bullpen: Camerato has RHP Kyle Finnegan, RHP Derek Law, RHP Jorge López, LHP Jose A. Ferrer, RHP Lucas Sims, LHP Colin Poche, RHP Eduardo Salazar, & RHP Evan Reifert

That would send Ribalta, Brzykcy, & Rutledge to Rochester

60 Day IL: Gray, Thompson

Additional 40 man members at AAA: Hassell, Lara, Henry, Cavalli (unless he stays in FL for extended spring training and is on the IL)

Alright Rizzo. Go trade for Judge.  Hassell, Herz, and Susana.

I was thinking more like we could trade Gore for a top prospect and some others.
