Nice, giving up nothing at all and getting all great players, easy. Let's just do this.

All while leaving gaping holes in the rotation and at third base.  I particularly like the trade of nothing for Rich Hill and simultaneously trading a worse pitcher that fills the same need (contending team needing a lefty starter) for something valuable.

When we got Murphy, Stale said that Murphy should play third because he sucked at second.  That would allow Drew to play second, and we can trade Turner for a starting pitcher.  Problem solved!

Why on earth would we want Aaron Hill?

Can't believe Rich Hill is a coveted piece either. Must've seen Gio's Dr. too

Nats get: CarGo from Rockies + Pearce/Guyer from TB
Rays get: Victor Robles + AJ Cole
Rockies get: Lopez/Fedde + Voth from Nats + Odorizzi from Rays

My only prediction: Rizzo will surprise us. There will be no trade rumors before it's done...

It does sound like Rizzo wants an outfielder who can hit. He mentioned moving Harper to CF. Maybe the team has lost patience with Revere. Maybe the same with Zimmerman, although Robinson and Murphy can handle 1B, and Turner is probably ready for 2B when Murphy plays first.

Maybe a "crafty lefty" starter? AJ Cole or Taylor Taylor for Niese?

Can't see the Nats actually getting 1 OF bat, let alone 2. Everyone knows CarGo would make me  :az: :az: though

I don't see why the Rays would want Cole, either, even if they did move a SP. COL would definitely be interested in him and Lopez

His home/away splits are disturbing.

LMAO...

This was proposed on another site I visit. I told them there was no way in hell we would mortgage that much for CarGo and a guy like Pearce when we have Robinson and Drew.

Edit: I should also state that I'm actually not in favor of getting a guy like CarGo. I would actually prefer someone like Beltran and another relief pitcher and probably still give up less than we would for CarGo.

Not great, but really not that bad. He's shown he can kill in at Nats Park too... They have the 3 game series in CO too  . I'd like the move, especially if the cost wasn't too much.

It sounds like Bridich is expecting way too much for CarGo. Easy pass if he's asking Giolito/Lopez/Robles

"They asked for my top two minor league players, a major league player and to absorb most of the contract," said a general manager who was interested in Gonzalez. "We will wait for something more realistic "

Exactly. Unfortunately, I think the Yankees will ask something similar for Andrew Miller.

I'd say Tulo was probably the more valuable of the two, albeit with a larger contract, and he only got the 49th prospect and a RP. Can't see it being anything more than Lopez or Fedde+

Carlos Gonzalez is only 30. Seems like he's older than that.

Me 2; but he is years away and I think the Yankees are looking for someone to help them much sooner.
