I agree that the bullpen is a little soft-tossy, but I wonder if trading assets is the answer over calling up Glover and Lopez at some point. I guess it depends on the cost?

Giants always have soft-tossy bullpens though, and they've done just fine. I don't think you necessarily have to overreact to the Royals success by overpaying for bullpen heat. After all, velocity was never the problem in the guys who've blown up in the playoffs for us.

I doubt the Nats are there scouting Archer exclusively. Probably looking at Colome.

How many Rays games do you have to hit before you get a save situation?

Zimmerman will be back and his status with the team will demand he play. Unless you're going to bet on a rookie in Turner? Oh yea, and Robinson is a better hitter against LHP.

Bullpen is glaring due to who is closing and Kelley's history of massive choke jobs.

None of them are shown to be options and none of them have the resume to kick a 12 million dollar veteran out of his spot.

Pretty sure they get him work regardless of save situation.

He's made 31 appearances and has 19 saves.

I'd like to see Turner play 2B, with Murphy at 1B. Robinson against lefties, with Murphy at 2B and Turner as pinch-hitter. Where does Zimmerman play? Can't think of a situation as long as he's hittinmg about .225.

He already has.  It's just that he's about 3/4 of the way through.

Did that link work for anybody?  I wonder how long you have to wait for an article to appear.  Or a video.  Page took forever to load, all the click bait at bottom and ads and what not.

SI's website is horrendous.  But I imagine that the package for Trout included the likes of Giolito, Fedde, etc.

I'd be tempted to do it.  The Harper-Trout dream team would do wonders for attendance and television negotiations (if the MASN negotiations are STILL going on).

It was Giolito, Turner, Robles, and Fedde

Andrew Miller or Alex Colome are making the most sense to me. Those are two guys that you can give the set up role to this year and give them the promise of being a closer next season. Colome would be preferable, as he'd be a young guy that could cut his teeth in this year's playoffs. And be ready for prime time next season.

We'd be favored to win every World Series until Harper's contract is up and maybe beyond.

Can Beltran play first?

Always been an OF as best I remember. Better to have Robinson + Turner, and let Murphy play 2B or 1B depending on LH or RH opposing pitcher.

eh, at this stage, he should be a first baseman.  Beltran is a guy I'd love on this roster because he'd be an upgrade either in the OF or at 1st

I'd rather have Robinson / Murphy at 1B and Murphy / Turner at 2B.

On the fantasy trade for Trout: no. Just no. Maybe Harper and AJ Cole for Trout...if Trout has a conract that lasts longer than Harper might be in Washington. Otherwise, no, no, no. Maybe if it was a trade for a young Mickey Mantle plus Whitey Ford plus Elston Howard...
