Yup, Revere has to go. He's awful with the bat and glove. I know a ton of people disagree, but TT is not the answer at CF this season, either.
We have the exact same offensive problem that we had in 2013, 2014, and 2015. You cannot rely on big innings and the long ball. This lineup doesn't really become productive until they get to the third time through the order. Batting average jumps 25 points and OPS jumps almost 100. Which is fine in the regular season. But in the playoffs, it's not. You're highly unlikely to get to the starting pitcher the third time through the order. There's no need to rest a pen in the playoffs. By the 6th inning, you're looking at a new pitcher every inning. And those guys are coming out, giving it everything they have because they know they're only going one inning and this could be the season right here.
Revere is sucking something awful. He had a nice June and we thought he was turning it around, but has come out the break sucking something awful. We can't count on him to be regular starter, much less a top of the order bat. More than that, we need another bat that is low on strikeouts and makes contact. Someone like a Melky Cabrera or Kole Calhoun.
