Only one way to shut those lot up - winning - and today it almost worked.
It's going to take a LOT of winning to keep the Phillies fans out of Citizens Bank Park South. Does anyone in the DC Vortex do bus tours for out-of-town games for the Nasty Nats? The Phillies fans don't just show up for out-of-town games they tour in style, treat the games like an NFL game with coordinated tailgating and are a vocal group (and not just of the vulgar variety). When was the last time the Global Village Park had a player chant going on? Or "Let's Go Nats"? If the scoreboard wasn't there to tell the Hill folks, lobbyists and baseball starved old farts to clap it'd be silent. If I could I would shove the lame ass subhorn straight up Andrew Fluffer/Feffers keister.
Until some serious, serious changes take place down at South Capital Street I don't see that ever happening for the Nats. I get that DC is a Foreskinz town but, and I could be speaking for myself here, it's getting depressing watching this team for another year look like the doormat of the NL East.
