I'm pretty sure his post was pre-Stairs, in reply to the post about Burnett.

I believe Bernadina is another tool Riggleman has available today.  Why Stairs?

Why is the second basemen playing in short CF?

How come the Nats never position their defense so accurately?

The other NL East scores become less relevant as we slide further into the cellar.

It's just a way for mediocre pitchers to get paid more for being mediocre.

Shrug.  it's a convenient floor measure.  If you really think that anyone writing the checks lets that stat alone unduly influence salary negotiations, then you have a much, much lower opinion of MLB managements than I do.

Fat Pair plays for the Phillies.

I hate the Nationals.

I'd rather have a relief pitcher batting than Bixler (stupid double switch).

Please dont let this be a 1 run loss. This team always make dumb mistakes and we always pay for it.
The Phillies are trying to fulfill your request.

May 21st

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Phillies placed center fielder Shane Victorino on the disabled list with a hamstring injury.

The Phillies made the move before Friday's game against the Texas Rangers and recalled outfielder Domonic Brown from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Victorino hadn't started the last four games. He is hitting .284 with six home runs and 19 RBIs in 39 games.

I wonder if Bixler knows of this strategy from Espinosa.

I'm guessing, no.
