so Brian Cashman, 6 pennants and 4 rings, is the best GM in the game?

Obviously, yes.  Take it to the Yankees extreme.

He didn't sign Greinke.  Instead, he went small and signed that nerd Haren.

Fireable offense.

FIRE RIZZO

Lol, even sarcastically this seems nuts when we've got good old H-Rod still performing like always. Crap, bad as Haren was today H-Rod still is putting up a good fight to distance himself ERA-wise.

Logan Kensing, Ryan Church, Dmitri Young, Lastings Milledge, D-Crab, Nyjer Morgan, Elijah Dukes, Wang... where art thou all, all-stars of Nat's past? Thine descendant, Sir Daniel of Haren, needs your winning ways!

Or...

Crabs! Beachball! Gas Canrahan! Sun! Garate! Osuna!

By your powers combined, I am Captain Haren!

That's cause Gio walked the Cubs' entire line up, and he still managed to get out of jams and keep the team in the game. Haren was serving up cockshots and the Reds were ripping them, hopefully I don't start dreading the games where Haren starts.

Sometimes, I think the chief mistake was to trade away Michael Morse. LF defense and all, I miss having Morse hit. Is Span that good?

This new guy, Henry the Fireball, pitched a good 8th inning. Can we credit Rizzo for that?

(I still miss the Morse smile, the leg exercise, and the home runs.)
