Don't get me wrong, being a juicer makes you crap in my book. I just don't give a crap if a player is cheating on his wife.

I mean, as long as it doesn't effect their play, they can do what they want with their personal life, but it makes them a scumbag in my eyes and I'd be less likely to be sad to see them go. I'd rather not have players who cheat on their wives, because the ones that do tend to be the ones with chemistry issues.

Edwin Jackson pitched very well against the Tigers tonight. 7 IP, 9 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K

4-1 White Sox in the 8th.

Why?  :|

Why should I care about that? That's not my business. I watch sports for the sake of the games not for their personal lives.

Seems to me they are finding plenty of chemistry.

I wonder if you would want you little girl wearing a Farve jersey now?

:lmao:  I don't have a little girl but if I did she would be a Redskins fan. I thought the jersey thing was about the player's athletic ability anyway.     In any event, I'm not into the fan boy jersey wearing fad so I probably wouldn't let my mythical little girl get into that sort of crap anyway. I prefer to wear team gear.

UMD are you still wearing Roethsliberger's varsity sweater jersey?

Little kids worship these guys and emulate them, for better or for worse. A guy like Dunn is one you keep around, very talented and very classy.

Little kids don't usually hear too much about the off-the-field stuff, though (besides Tiger Tiger Woods).

I fault the parents for that. And while I can't declare it with 100% certainty, if I had a kid, I doubt he/she would be worshiping players in that way.

I wouldn't be too shocked to learn Dunn made a cameo in Tijuana while in San Diego playing the Padres.

I disagree, I think kids wear jerseys from players they look up to. I would hope no kids are buying Ben "she said no" Roethsliberger jersey's

Currently he's still kicking ass as a baseball player, not a cheater.

ARoid still kicking ass?  .346 w OBA, .335 OBP and .467 SLG are his lowest since 1995.  ISO is .204, lowest since 1997. On pace for 25-26 HR which would be his lowest since 1995.  1996 was his first full year. That's not kicking ass and it's not coincidence.  Just because he hit some milestone that he never would have gotten too without roids, don't overlook that the first year of meaningful testing sent his stats into the crapter.

Wait, people want to go see a team that wins? I would say that the pirates have the best fans- that they can get anyone to go at this point is a sign of devotion. We're not that far behind.

18 years compared to 5 with only 1.5 of a real GM building the team.  That's just a freaking stupid comparison.

Okay, then... hes still a solid player.

Look, like I said before, what he did with his personal life is crap. Its none of my business. If he [arod] is a good player though, then I don't see why anyone should be restricted from cheering for him/them. Role model or no role model, they are professional athletes not heroic icons. In the kids eyes they may be, but its up to you to teach them between right and wrong.

The Rays haven't drawn 20,000 fans for any of the Twins games. They are averaging less fans than the Nationals.

Yeah but it should be fun to watch on TV. Kind of a long drive anyway.

Just how big is your living room that you need to drive to the TV?

It's not the size of the room, it's the laziness of the man.

Sad that there's enough of a Twins presence to be heard in Tampa.

Something's wrong with Wade Davis. Can't hit 90 on the gun and getting smacked around.

Nats are 21st in attendance right now.  Not bad considering how things have been for 5 years.

While it's obviously limited given his few starts, Strasburg has clearly inflated that number. Deduct the Philthy fans from two series as well, and I imagine we're in the bottom five. Point being, it's still bad. I recall the Royals Monday game being the emptiest I recalled seeing Nats park. Only 13k paid, and about 4-6k in reality. The team is still drawing as bad as ever when you don't have Strasburg or another teams fans.

And to keep it on topic, Guzzie got his first hit as a Ranger last night. And Capps, in his second save opportunity with the Twins, blew the save. Went extra innings, with the Twins winning in 13. I think time will tell we utterly destroyed the Twins in that trade. I still love Capps, don't get me wrong, but he's an average closer at best. The Twins are well on their way to seeing that for themselves.

While we're at it why don't we reduce all "visiting" team fans from the total.  And anyone who came to see their favorite player.  Then we wouldn't have anyone other than grad school douchebags who want to use the empty stadium to do their homework.
