One bad year makes a career?
It's not like he's had 10 years worth of success. Yes, he had some good seasons and then in his most recent season he flopped. You can't just ignore that like it didn't happen. Was there a reason for his poor performance this past season? Is he likely to repeat it or was it just a fluke?
These are the things you have to look at. Yes, he may rebound. But he also could duplicate last season and pitch poorly again. You don't know what you are getting here and that is why I don't understand how he can demand 2 years and a hefty salary.
