I sold back Black Ops after about 2 months of it, and I only got it because my roommates wanted it. I liked it at first - thinking, stupidly, that things would be different - but the game sucked after a while.

I never bought it so I'm glad. I do want to play single player though. I heard it was pretty good.

I can't stand playing shooters with a controller, and most PC shooters are awful buggy console ports anymore, so as a result I don't play many new shooters.  I still play UT 2004 frequently, in fact.

Battlefield 3 isn't going to be that though, or so I've heard. I'm definitely getting it on the PC. Return to 64 players online for the freaking win.

Yea I wish I had a computer that could run BF3. Living in a college apartment for the freaking loss.

For anyone interested in Rift, they are having a memorial day weekend sale.  Regular version is $25 and the Collectors edition is $30 (normally $50/60).

Collectors comes with a larger satchel to start, a bogling wastrel companion pet, and the ancient tartagon mount you can ride as soon as you reach the first mailbox to pick it up.  You get the items on every character you make.  IMO it's worth it to have the mount that early and not having to pay the 1+ platinum a normal 60% mount would cost you at the first mount vendor you get to.

My Ascend-a-Friend offer is still open as well ;)

I thought that SubZ==Noob was never actually confirmed, just speculation?

Hmm. I'm pretty sure in the latest game it's confirmed... or at least, heavily hinted at.

Could be, I still haven't finished the SP story.

BTW, I played the new MK last night at my friends house... We had about 8 people switching off in tag team. That game is sooooo damn fun. I tried out Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Lui Kang, Noob, Jax, Sektor, Cyrax, and Baraka... I have to say that Noob was my favorite... but thats probably because I actually figured out a few of his moves easily. I kept doing that teleport through the ground body slam thing.

Johnny Cage is my best character but Raiden is threatening to bump him.  Jax and Sonya are both surprisingly decent as well, especially Sonya.  Sub Zero is apparently one of the best if you know how to play defense with him properly.  Kung Lao already got nerfed with updates because he was purportedly a bit unbalanced - having played as and against him, I'm not sure I'd agree, but I wouldn't disagree either.

Oh yea, I also played as Johnny Cage. I did horrible with him though. I played Noob about 3-4 times and Sub Zero twice. I did some cool stuff with Sub Zero but I had no idea what to do after I froze the guy so I was weak with him. One of my friends was Kung Lao and absolutely kicked ass yesterday though. None of us had played the game before that night so it was pretty interesting.

I finally beat Halo Reach yesterday. I stopped playing around chapter 8 about 2 days after the game came out and just never continued it. I totally forgot I didn't beat it until a few days ago when we were discussing the game and I couldn't pitch in... So after playing the game, I have to say that was one of the better stories they have done. Definitely second behind Halo CE. The mission after the credits was damn amazing too.

I stopped playing as Noob. I feel he is much too strong a character.

I haven't had too much trouble against him online.  But then again most people just do the same 2-3 moves over and over.

Zynga just released a new Facebook Game.  Its called Empires & Allies, and it is kinda like CivilizationVille, so to speak.

pretty cool thus far, but I just started.

something to play until the actual Civilization Facebook version comes out.

Does anyone remember Age of Empires?

I used to love that game.

Of course, it'll never replace my love of Command and Conquer/C&C Red Alert series, but it's a close second.

It's a shame what happened to the C&C franchise.  I stopped playing after the original Red Alert.

I have AOEIII on my laptop. Awesome series of games.

Also have Red Alert 2 somewhere. My gf got me the whole collection for like 19 bucks. Really loved the series, but AOE was the best.

Red Alert 2 is my favorite.

Could live without all the other crap that followed after it.

Brotherhood of Nod disc... detected.  To play the GDI missions, please insert the GDI disc.

My friends dad freaked out when installing it because he thought it was a virus.  Because that's totally how viruses look when they install on to your pc
