You click the link and it shows my gear and such. The cool thing is my guys name is Strasburg. Some people give me props while others tell me "I should be resting my arm and not playing this game". I get a laugh out of it.

If I do, it will be on PC.  Sorry but FPS on a controller = fail.  Mortal Kombat and Netflix were pretty much my only reasons for getting an Xbox.  That and my gf needed bday ideas.

Is Mortal Kombat any good? Sucks they don't have it at the Redbox near my house.

I enjoy it.  Great party game.  The single player story mode is actually pretty decent.  The gameplay itself is very approachable.  You can get by and have fun on basics and button mashing, or you can really do some crazy stuff with a little bit of practice.  Lots of characters and I wouldn't say any of them are terrible.  Characters with teleportation moves/attacks definitely seem to have an advantage, but that's probably 1/3 of the roster, so it's not too bad, and almost all of the characters are fun to play if you're just playing for fun.

Online play is fun, but you eventually get to a point where everyone you play is either obviously worse than you or obviously better than you.  I don't feel like XBL does a very good job of matching up people of similar skill.  You'll also get people who cuss you out or ragequit, but my understanding is that that's fairly typical of anything on XBL.  I don't have anything to compare to, but it seems like very few online MK players use a mic.

Sweet. I might have to check that out. I mostly just want to do all of the finishing moves, though.  I loved that game back in the day.

That's actually my least favorite part of the game, though I admit a lot of that has to do with I feel like they're just a waste of time during online play - hurry up so I can hit A and try to beat you again!

That said, I guess I was more of a fan of the MK 1 fatalities...  the foreboding tone, the darkened screen, the simple brutality of it - felt more like a horror movie than what I feel like fatalities in every MK game since have been - cheesy, comical, and overdone.

IMO, the X-ray moves in the new MK are much more interesting and cringe-inducing than the fatalities.  bones cracking makes me wince, somebody getting cut clean in half down the middle and their guts flailing about is just meh, whatever.

Rented Brink from Redbox. played it yesterday, did not like it.

Playing Dragon Age Origins for the moment.  downloaded the Halo Reach and Dungeon Siege II demos.

I'll be getting Gears 2 in the mail from Blockbuster either today or tomorrow. anyone wanna run Co-Op with me?

oh, and pm me your gamertags so I can add you guys, if you don't want your Tag to be public knowledge.

I actually just got GOW 2 in the mail today. My brother and I are going to do the campaign, but let me know if you want to play one of the other online modes.

I'll accept your friend request later today.
