I actually just got GOW 2 in the mail today. My brother and I are going to do the campaign, but let me know if you want to play one of the other online modes.

I'll accept your friend request later today.

what other modes are there?

Online?

Warzone - The deathmatch mode of the game. The cool thing about gears is when you get shot a lot you get "downed". When you are downed you have to get a teammate to revive you before you either bleed out or before the enemy executes you. Weapons are all on the ground.

I forgot what the other Warzone mode is but instead of having to rely on a teammate to get you up, you can tap A to get yourself back up. Also, enemies need to be up close to you to execute you.

Then theres a King of the Hill game, Assassinate the leader game, and then a CTF type game where there is a "meatshield" in the middle of the level and you need to down him and "hold him as a hostage/shield" and bring him back to the designated area.

Then theres "Horde" which is basically 4-5 people on a team fighting against waves of the enemy dudes.

I really enjoy the game. Maybe we can get a WNFF Warzone going on later.

Bad Company 2's multiplayer is kick-ass. Loved it. Tons of replay value. I don't care for Halo and I've heard mixed things about Borderlands.

Borderlands is kind of cool at first, but it gets old fast. I've heard the same complaint from everyone that has played it. Wait for Rage to come out if you want to play a post apocalyptic game.

question for those of you who have played Dragon Age.

Is the game set in its own original Universe, or is it a part of D&D?

Dragon Age is it's own world. They actually have a pencil and paper version though I think. I loved it and also bought the expansion. I want to get Dragon Age 2 but just don't have the extra money laying around right now.

PS3 name is Terpfan76 for anyone wanting to add me. Most of the time you'll see it on Netflix, that's my wife lol...

I tried to play Borderlands to meet up with my friend that was several levels ahead of me... I disliked the game fast. It wasn't very good IMO.

So if my computer is blue screening and referencing my NVidia card, and the colors on my monitor go wonky and my computer freezes both whenever I try to launch anything graphics instense (games) OR just randomly when I'm clicking around windows, that's certainly a fried graphics card, right?

I have updated my drivers. I just want to eliminate any other possibilities before I get on a 7-hour long call with Dell to convince them to replace my graphics card.

As of March or so, yes. I have never had a problem with finding games, even in the Vietnam purchase section. I've since sold it back to Gamestop to help pay for a couple other  games but I can't remember having a problem.

It's still running great. No problem finding anyone online to play with.

and wait for Battlefield 3 instead of getting Bad Company 2. BF3 comes out in October right?

Yes. I can't wait for BF3. It will be amazing. Reach is not a bad choice. HALO mulitplayer is not bad, if you can get past all the foul mouthed 10 year olds.

Raptr vs playfire. any thoughts?  they are both gaming focused social networks. raptr is based around its instant messenger program. while playfire is more Facebookish.

Full retail games.  I don't know if it streams or you have to download the entire thing first (I suspect the latter).

Here is a list from Wikipedia of titles.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360_Games_on_Demand

GoW and GoW2 are $19.99 each, I never knew that, I might have to get GoW2 if I have the space on my old 20GB model.

Looks like it's not MS points, but actual money.

Halo Reach is $49.99, BC2 is $39.99, Borderlands is $19.99
