If you enjoy being called the "n-word" multiple times a match by prepubescent kid, then by all means get and play CoD on Live.

They should reveal those kids real names for that crap :smh:

Why is Portal 2 so fun? Now I have to play it.

I rarely ever hear anything like that in CoD (don't have it anymore). I played M.A.G (beta) on PS3 and heard about the same amount on that game as I did on CoD.

Edit:

Btw, any old Tribes players around? http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gameplay-trailer-tribes-ascend/716901

wouldn't cod/mw be considered shooters?

I mean I am recommending 360 exclusive shooters. MW2 is also on the PS3.

Alright people, World of Warcraft is now FREE TO PLAY up to level 20.  Not a 10 day trial, free forever with a level cap of 20.

Also, you can buy the digital battle chest now, which includes vanilla and the Burning Crusade that unlocks Outland and raises lever cap to 70, for $19.99.

But it's no longer free to play once you pass level 20.

Frankly, this is tempting to at least try, even for someone like me who has never had any interest in the game, but from what I hear it's extremely easy to hit that level 20 cap even as a very casual player, which means this isn't really any more of a freebie than the old 14-day trial was.

It really depends.  If you already have some 85s and are rolling an alt, yeah, you probably can get 20 fairly fast.  You'll be power leveling through things, knowing where to go exactly, etc.  I you are new, take your time, actually read the quest text, get into the story some, explore, work on professions like fishing cooking or mining, etc, it will take longer.

I'm working on a new character on Alliance side, and am at level 12.  Even with the + 10% xp perk from my guild and the + 10% bonus from spinning around the maypole for the midsummer festival, it's still taken me about 7 hours /played.

And Chief, are you sure you have to start paying at 20?  The way I read it, you just stop leveling just as if you were on the trial and hit 20 before the time limit.  So at 20 you could still explore around and do other things even if you couldn't level if you didn't want to buy the game.

But yeah, if you do recruit a friend, you will hit 20 very fast with the triple xp.

It means go get on your computer, download World of Warcraft, and join the online sensation before we murder you.

Yeah you're right.  I guess my point was more that there's not much reason to buy the $20 vanilla/crusade pack if you're planning on playing for free.

I agree with Nathan that if you've never played the game (or even an RPG) the 1-20 will take a bit of time. It's a pretty good deal that BC is now added into the original game for 20 bucks. Remember, if you make an account you get a month for free. If you do RAF, you get another month free.

Hammonds - I doubt you will ever try this game . I would be surprised if you even downloaded it. I would think it'd be cool if you did though. Also, get the Team Fortress 2 dammit.

If anyones even thinking about trying wow, at least try the free demo to level 20 now.

CS Source is what you should get since I play that more than 1.6. It's 20 bucks.

Yea TF2 is different than the first but generally the same idea. Visuals updated as well as class things. Like Engineer still can build a teleporter, sentry gun, etc, but each can be upgraded, as well as your weapons. I kind of like it.

Yeah, for real. This is some bs.

I mean, it's free FFS.  And Linty, it plays on a Mac too!  Same for you, MDS!

Cool.  I have no problem shelling money for CS ... I miss those days of playing it.

Yeah I think it'll be fun.  I really enjoyed TF, sometimes I liked it as much as CS.

I'll get used to it.  I'll hook up the mouse to my laptop tonight.

question for those of you who have played Dragon Age.

Is the game set in its own original Universe, or is it a part of D&D?
