incidentally, I still have the Japanese Demo of the game on my PSP.

yup, it's called God Eater Burst.

no American Name Change there.

who the hell said anything about them ordering any changes?

I said the name was changed in advance, because they didn't want to offend any evangelicals.  and they didn't bother to make that change anywhere else in the world.

how difficult is that to understand?

and if I am wrong, then why, exactly, is the game known as God Eater Burst, *everywhere else in the world*, but known as Gods Eater Burst here?

does someone have a US Patent on the term God Eater so they can't legally use it, maybe?

So you're saying the Japanese version of the game wasn't re-released and improved on October 28, 2010 as Gods Eater Burst? Even though the game's wikipedia page says it was?

Once again, you're flipping out over something you have no proof of... and you're just looking to lash out at religion, for what? For something they got changed without their knowing because a company didn't want to deal with a supposed backlash that they perceived might happen if they released it as God Eater Burst?

There's plenty of bullcrap PC-ness on both sides of the Democrat/Republican, Atheist/Religious spectrum to go around. To pick this out... and to go off about it, just take a deep breath man. It's not that big of a deal.

Ask yourself, do you really care all that much that an 'S' was added to the title? Does it really ruin your day?

As long as you enjoy the game... which I assume you do, as you're so passionate about the name change... isn't that all that should matter?

ready for my next PSP Purchase.

then I'm not gonna buy anything else for a while.

looking at Crimson Gem Saga, MLB The Show 11, or Valkryia Chronicles 2. leaning towards Crimson Gem Saga, supposedly it's a very old-school-ish classic Turn-Based RPG.

any other PSP guys in here with some thoughts?

hey, just noticed that Crimson Gem Saga was released for the itunes app store. any iUsers ever try it?

Do they have anything like Advance Wars?

I loved those games on the GBA.

there is an old ass game called Field Commander, that is basically Advance Wars w/ realistic graphics.

not sure beyond that.

there are a metric crap-ton of Strategy RPGs on the PSP though. it's like the SRPG is the Official Genre of the PSP

I just finished putting all of my video games and consoles in my closet. Video games just don't interest me very much any more. New games can't seem to hold my attention for more than a day or two and I've played my vintage games so much that I've memorized them.

Vega, I'm about at the same point. My PS3 gets more work as a DVD player than it does a video game system.

I definitely think its the amount of unoriginal games out right now.

I felt like the 2000's was a FPS decade. We had the Halos, the Call of Dutys, the Medal of Honors, the Battlefields, the Killzones, the Resistance... etc etc. They are all fun but they start to mimic the same thing and its definitely once you played a couple, you've played them all. Then its sports games. I feel like those are the only really online played games. Online multiplayer definitely brought some of the replay value down in the long run. I remember back in the day trying to schedule halo lans with my friends because of how fun it is. Then I played the crap out of Halo throughout high school and I feel tired of it.

There are some great single player games still available though. ME3 is going to be awesome. I still have to play Dragon Age 1. LA Noire seems like it will be a good game.

I'm sort of the same way with games. I still play Fifa and MLB almost all the time but everything else seems outplayed. I haven't beaten Dead Space II yet and I got that game almost a month ago. I want a new, original game. As for FPS, I am still getting BF3 without a doubt because that multiplayer experience should be amazing. Gears of War 3 will be the same but I have to get that game as well. I can't really think of anything else coming out.

I haven't turned on my PS3 since around New Years when I played "NBA Jam" for two days straight.  Can't stop playing "COD: Black Ops" before work though...

Diablo 2 was awesome.  So many all nighters running Bael over and over and killing the cows on the cow level.

I hope Diablo 3 is every bit as awesome.

I used to be a huge Halo fan. I'd play the multiplayer with my brothers whenever I could, I bought the action figures and books, and I bought a 360 for the sole purpose of playing Halo 3. Now, I'm totally burnt out on the entire franchise.

I miss LANs.  Console-itis and overzealous DRM have pretty much killed the LAN Party :?

I bought Reach the day it released and beat it in one sitting with my brother. That marked the end of my Halo fanhood. When my brothers and I started playing the multiplayer the next day, I was bored out of my mind for some reason, and it was the same every time after. (It didn't help that I was beating their asses handily without even trying.)

NERD!

Seriously, how much of a PITA was it to lug a huge desktop and I assume (given the time) a CRT monitor + KB/mouse?

I'm just calling it like I see it.  Besides, "GOTY" isn't a real thing anyway, that I'm aware of.  Everybody makes up their own.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will win. It will be that awesome. Can't wait for 11/1/11 to get it.

Some of the best BBQs I've ever attended were at LAN parties, so there is that.

I have CGS on PSP. A pretty decent hand held RPG. I never finished though as I got stuck in one area and was never able to figure my way back out. Didn't really feel liking putting in the effort to figure that part out at that point.

So did anyone get Crysis 2 or Homefront? Both games are pretty fun.

Crysis 2 is definitely the best looking console game. At least for shooters.
