Which version did you see - the R rated or the PG-13?

I don't remember - but would bet on PG13

Bane/Hardy looks badass.

I didn't really read the comics so I had to look up Bane... seems like this will be a pretty interesting villain.

Also, the more I think of it, the more sad I get that Heath Ledger died. I know it happened awhile ago but the Joker was just so damn perfect. And the way this series is going I can see Joker coming back sometime.

"Kick Ass" was much better than I thought it would be.  A bit of a departure from the source material but overall a solid B+.  Nic "Where's the Coke" Cage was actually good in it, which was really surprising.

That is what I like about Pixar; they make legit, real films, quite unlike the other animation studios. The other studios all make stupid, shallow movies; I'm guessing they think that because animated movies are geared towards kids, they can get away with cliche stories, stupid characters, and fart joke level humor. Pixar, on the other hand, makes films that have actual storytelling, real emotion, and that can be looked at as actual films instead of as merely animated films.

Amen! Those are the movies I try to have my son watch the most. Cars, Toy Story 1,2,3 and Monsters Inc. are his favorites.

Watched 127 Hours and Unstoppable last night. Both were good, but I was really surprised by Unstoppable. Excellent movie.

Saw Morning Glory over the weekend and enjoyed it.

Saw Pirates of the Caribbean 4 on Saturday. Not spectacular but it wasn't awful. Please, just no more.

Alright, you can hate on Sunshine's "third act" but the movie is just freaking brilliant. Definitely one of my favorites.

Saw Fast Five with the wife this week. Wasn't bad, wasn't great. I got what I wanted out of it, fast cars doing stupid fast things lol

Watched Kick Ass the other night on Netflix with the wife. Really liked it.

I was a big fan of the comic and when I heard Nic "Cokehead" Cage was in it I thought "no thanks."  Watched on Netflix last week and really enjoyed it.  A lot of changes from the source material but overall really solid.

is it just me or does Seth Rogan simply play Seth Rogan in every single movie or show he is in, regardless of the Genre or storyline?

and isn't Zach Galifinakis the same way?

i hear hangover 2 was awful, thor was pretty overrated, the new fast and furious was exactly what you're paying for to see, haven't heard anything about green lantern (although i hear green hornet was dogcrap) and i heard the new x-men flick was sick wit it.

i plan on seeing super 8 the day it comes out and probably x-men in the next week or two.
