After rewatching Spiderman 2, it definitely is my favorite of the three. I know we've had this discussion before but 1-2 were two very good movies but then the 3rd blew ass. Doc Oc may be one of, if not top, my favorite villains. The actor who played him did very well.

he's a very good actor.  haha although he did get killed by the gorgeous natasha in species (well after spending the night with her).

Tron 2 is eh.

I enjoyed it as a waste of time... but it wasn't super exciting or anything.

If you've never seen the uncut Criterion Robocop DVD, you need to. FiOS has the uncut version on demand.

I'm sure it's already been mentioned in this thread, but X-Men First Class looks sick.

I've always felt that Andie MacDowell couldn't act her way out of a paper bag, but Harrison's Flowers was pretty good.  Granted, I take a personal interest in the Balkans during the early 90s (long story, but I think that the flick stands on its own even if the storyline is not a personal obsession).  And Adrien Brody is outstanding.

That has Elias Kotas in it, right?  Great flick if it's the same one I'm thinking of.

Watched "The Horsemen" on Netflix Sat night. Wasn't great, but was rather disturbing. Dennis Quade stars in it and he looked pretty rough in the movie.

Yup, just looked it up and that is the one I was thinking about.  Elias Kotas == excellence.

Just finally watched Toy Story 3. I'm gonna pretend those were little laughing sounds I was making at the end.

Damn that was a powerful movie.

Has anyone seen Take Me Home Tonight?

I was interested in it when it came out. I didn't think it'd be any good but for some reason I am drawn to it.

Watched The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl That Played With Fire, and Let The Right One In this weekend on Netflix. It was some subtitled awesomeness.

Priest had absolutely nothing to do with the Source Material from what I can see.

i hate it when movies are promoted as "based on the hit graphic novel" or whatever when the movie has absolutely nothing in common with what it is supposed to be based on other than the name of the movie and very, very scant minor details.

I don't know why you watched that movie to begin with.

It looked like crap, to me.

I watched Big Fan over the weekend. What a great movie.

That is what I like about Pixar; they make legit, real films, quite unlike the other animation studios. The other studios all make stupid, shallow movies; I'm guessing they think that because animated movies are geared towards kids, they can get away with cliche stories, stupid characters, and fart joke level humor. Pixar, on the other hand, makes films that have actual storytelling, real emotion, and that can be looked at as actual films instead of as merely animated films.

I caught Darfur a few weeks ago on Showtime, it's considered the most realistic portrayal of the violence in the Sudan, and accurately portrays Arab Sudanese destroying Black Sudanese villages, and all inside them.  Very powerful stuff, but not for the faint of heart.

Wow.  Raging Boll did something powerful?  That's a shocker.

I'm looking forward to seeing this once it gets released in the States:

I am so so excited for Cars 2. Cars is probably my favorite, or Wall*E.
