The pitch trailer was just that, a trailer to pitch an idea.

Even though it's the same actors... we have to pretend it didn't happen and that the mini series is completely independent of the trailer, even though it's the same actors/director.

Heard they changed how Baraka looked as well... won't be the same looking character from the trailer.

cool just making sure ... baraka (obama) looked pretty frightening in the trailer, thought it was well done.

it's really dark, i'm digging it.  the biggest challenge is how much of it is going to real life (ie, going with a human disformed reptile and baraka) vs. another realm (supernatural goro, etc).

hopefully sub zero wins the whole thing.

Just watched all three episodes. Pretty cool. I really want to see one of their moves dammit! (well the nut punch was pretty badass by Cage)

Did Ken Burns correct his claim that "Curt Flood never played baseball again" after his free agency lawsuit? Sounded really dramatic on TV.  Problem: it's a lie.  Curt Flood played briefly for the Washington Senators afterward, one of owner Bob Short's "celebrity" but worthless past-their-prime players.

The Supreme Court didn't decide the Flood case until 1972.

I saw "how do you know" - the movie with owen wilson as a nats pitcher, on a flight to LA this week. So-so chick flick.

A) I love M Night Shamalamadingdong. I mean everything he's done, like Lady In the Water.

B) I saw it in 2D, I think the 3D effects distracted from it. The cartoon looks kinda good actually.

And I thought my love of Abel Ferrara was bizarre...

Lady in the Water takes place in a children's book universe. Watch it again with that frame of mind.

I've never watched it.  My feelings on M. Night Shanahan is, to quote that great American sage George W. Bush, - "Fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again".

"13 Assassins" is an amazing and truly epic movie, especially if you enjoy action or samurai movies.

Gangs of New York is a really cool film. The final act was pretty intense.

Who's going to see Thor tomorrow? :az:
Black clouds on the horizon
Great thunder and burning rain
His chariot pounding,
I heard the heavens scream his name

I watched as he shouted
To the giants that died that day
He held up his hammer high
And called to Odin for a sign

Thor the mighty, Thor the brave
Crush the infidels in your way
By your hammer let none be saved
Live to die on that final day
Gods, Monsters and Men
We'll die together in the end

God of thunder, god of rain
Earth shaker who feels no pain
The powerhead of the Universe
Now send your never ending curse

Swing your hammer to crack the sky
Lift your cape so that you might fly
Back to Odin and the Gods on High
And leave this mortal world

Limitless was not all I expected it to be. Very nice idea for the movie but was poorly exectued and had plot holes.
