Seems like Davey has moved Ferrer into Poche's lefty specialist spot, but that's not sustainable.  Going to need Irvin and Parker to work some of their 7 inning magic in this Mets series.

With Lopez back, I think he's more comfortable using Ferrer before the 8th in "stopper / fireman" situations. I think it is less lefty / righty match ups with Ferrer and more that there are 2 set up guys and Davey's comfortable putting either in first.

We can hope Rutledge or Henry graduate to the back end in Bullpen A.

Looks like Finnegan, plus Ferrer / Henry / Rutledge. Sims and Poche are last out of the bullpen. Lopez is not fully trusted, and Salazar will be next to go when the Nats can replace Sims and Poche.

I don't trust Lopez, but maybe Davey does.

I think we've found our bullpen Victory Vulture in Lopez. Picks up two wins in a row after a blown save (his Wednesday, Finny today).

He's solid.  Just need to keep Hickey away from him.   Maybe make a Ferrer scarecrow Hickey can talk to during mound visits.

He’s thrown strikes throughout his pro career, and keeps his cool in tough situations.  I like Ferrer.  No one should blame him for his pitching coach or manager.  He’s not even arb eligible yet, and needs to be part of the pen for the next few years at least.

EMERGENCY EMERGENCY

There is nothing more demoralizing for a team than to have the bullpen blow leads game after game.  The last time this happened was 2015, which was a miserable year to be a Nats fan.  Now we're reliving the nightmare 10 years later.  The 2025 Nats have a reasonable chance of making the postseason ONLY if upper management acquires a couple more decent bullpen arms NOW.
