Just hit Crews second. Wood third. Lowe cleanup. Ruiz 5th.
you don't buy 1/2/4 should be your best hitters? I expect Wood to draw BBs, which are wasted at #3.

This. Wood should either bat lead off or ideally bat second. If Abrams can manage a league average OBP I'm fine with him leading off.

Per Zuck: DeJong is undergoing surgery to repair a broken nose. No timetable for return.

Meanwhile at AAA: Brady House has posted .299 /.365 /.471 / .836 with 3HR, a 3B, and 4 2Bs

I'm optimistic about mostly everything, but if Wood continues being Wood, Crews flips his script and hits his billing, and House just becomes a competent MLB 3B, we've got a pretty decent little core. I think if Abrams figures it out, it's icing on the cake. Gore looks legit, Irvin and Parker seem like quality pitchers in the rotation. Gotta see what we can get from Cavalli, even as a reliever.

I remember when Rod Langway got his nose broken -- flattened -- toward the end of a second period against the Rangers. There he was on the second defensive shift to start the third. John Davidson almost shouted "The warrior returns!".

DeJong must be hurt worse.
