Crews will need some time to adjust. Its why I was so adamant about calling him up two months ago.
I honestly don't think it's going to take more than a month and half. Guy is pretty much ready as is. I've yet to see a weakness.
Maybe the curve ball. I haven't seen him hit one yet and has missed some in big situations.
Nobody hits a curve, the trick is to not swing.
Most big leaguers can hit curves
40 ABs in 10 games with 21 left, so on pace to come in just under the 130 rookie threshold, will be interesting to see where he hits
Time to test out Darren Baker's ability to cover the corner outfield in a pinch
Yes, time to see Baker take left for a while. Time for Gallo to sit and watch, unless the Nats DFA him. When will Alex Call return?
Gallo has Chris Davis numbers, just horrible.
First 50 ABs: .200 / .281 / .440 (.721 OPS), 3 HRs, 5 SBs, 10Ks, 6BBs
Gallo has Chris Davis, just horrible. Terrible. And you know what? They didn't even know he was going to have these numbers. They're just terrible, terrible numbers, and they should know that. I mean, they're just the worst numbers in U.S. history, believe me. And if I had been GM, they never would have happened. Never!
I heard Gallo has been eating cats.
So is crews’ future as a CF or corner outfielder?
Remember all of the pre-draft and post-draft debating that the #Nats should have taken Wyatt Langford over Dylan Crews? Crews leads in OPS and in defense, and Crews has already prevented more defensive runs than Langford per Statcast OAA. Consider that Crews has only played 16 games compared to Langford's 120. OAA is a cumulative stat.
