He's horrible.

I couldn't agree more...though I have used the term "dreadful "

This was to be expected. The scouting report was he struggled with breaking stuff and spin.

Dude is a bust. Move on.
You and others wanted a RF and put Crews in CF because Jacob Young is not a MLB hitter.  Why would you want that for a bust?

What a ridiculous take.  But I’ll be sure to bump this when he’s having success.

it's almost as if some folks were rooting against him since day 1. I don't get it.

Cus at least the defense plays.

Crews wasn't ready last year. He's overmatched this year. Between him and Wood not developing, I just hope they fire Coles

I thought he'd come in with a 725-750 OPS this year, but who knows.  At this point, issue is how both he and the org react.  Can't blame him for Davey's lefty-right lineup nonsense that had him 2nd in the 2nd game of the year, but to have yet another first round pick disappoint is yet another issue for this team.

This reminds me of the "Kieboom is our third baseman" in 2020 and/or 2021.

"We have arrived!"

Wood not developing? His .886 OPS so far this year puts him at #34 in the National League ahead of Pete Alonso and Corbin Carroll.

Wood, too? Oh no. Nats need to fade themselves in the upcoming draft. Whoever they think they want, go with the other guy.

Rizzo looks for players who give him man crushes, not who will actually develop into something, he needs to be kept as far away as possible from any and all draft boards.

Seven strikeouts in a row with a walk thrown in for Dylan Crews…….It’s way early but he looks lost.
If it persists Hassle is waiting in AAA, as long as he is producing down there.

Way too early to send him down, but if it gets to that would make most sense to call up Darren Baker.   Keep service times down for Hassell/House, and also best for their development.

Wood not developing in the field is fair, but what about James Wood should Coles be fired for?

0-7 with 2Ks in his last two games and no Ks last night.  111MPH EV on his liner to short last night and put 3 balls into play.

He'll be fine.

Getting rather 'never give a Nationals prospect an even break....' Remember all those comments about how it would be fun watching the young guys develop? Well, it's fun-time... ;)

Yep, I'm still not worried about Crews.

People here are very “excited” about Crews as you can see.

I'm surprised that a guy can be drafted so high and end up being a bust. I know it's happened before, but dang, how can so many scouts (HS & College) end up being wrong about the same player?

maybe it's a bit too early to reach that conclusion?

FWIW, the last guy to come into the league with as much hype as Crews put up .189 /.255 /.566 in his first 190 ABs (69Ks)

That guy has posted .304 / .333 / .478 so far this year for the Baltimore Orioles.

True, let's still give Dylan a chance.

The Post article pointed out each of his 3 balls in play Wednesday had an expected average over .300. The first liner to SS had an xBA over .700
