Wood is cool and Crews is electric. This is fun. And yes, the Wood-Young-Crews OF is a thing of beauty and a joy forever, or for however long they play together.

0.3 WAR so far. Might be ahead of half the team by this time next week.

Crews leading off again tonight, looks like Davey is going with Crews / Abrams against LH starters.

Crews as lead off is interesting and probably a welcome step back for Abrams

I like it. Abrams fits better lower down, probably 2nd when he's "on". I'd love to slot it up like this in the future, assuming House isn't a bust:

1. RF - Crews
2. SS - Abrams (L)
3. 3B - House
4. LF - Wood (L)
5. 1B - Morales/Chaparro/Yepez
6. 2B - Garcia Jr. (L)
7. DH - Chaparro/Yepez
8. C - Ruiz/Millas (switch)
9. CF - Young

That's good for where he is in his slump.

It's early, but it seems like Crews could be one of those guys who really blooms once he gets in the spotlight. I could definitely see him being better in the majors than he was in the minors.

But it's also early. Pitchers will adjust quickly.

I keep having nightmares and flashbacks with Crews morphing into Kiebust. Both had hot starts with several HR's and then reality set in.

there's no comparison between Kieboom and Crews.

Really? Both did well in the minors and both hit in their respective debuts weeks.

Kieboom was a high school pick, Crews was the best hitter in college last year. He's older and far more advanced than Kieboom was when we drafted him.

Good points but I'm referencing their debuts in the show. Even today Kiebust is just pedestrian in the minors.

Crews hits the ball hard a lot more often than Carter. This is his first real look at a major league change up, so I’d expect him to improve like every other stud ball player.

Crews will need some time to adjust. Its why I was so adamant about calling him up two months ago.
