I’m hoping the Chiefs are using up all their good karma.

Eagles are 5-0 since Sirianni shaved his head.

Who'd have predicted, pre-season, that that Chiefs would be 9-0 - thanks to the defence, and Gilead?... ;)

Can't relax yet, though - still got The Big One to negotiate (Panthers)... :D

Take a punt on this...

(for the uninitiated, Darren Bennett had a very successful AFL career with both West Coast and Melbourne...)

You told me they would be good this year? What happened. Williams was crazy letting the Bears draft him.

Everlose is a terrible coach and they have hired equally terrible OC's.  Williams looked terrible for the first 50 minutes in the Redskins game...and even worse these past 2 weeks.  Having no offensive line doesn't help matters.

I like that name. Everlose.

(for the uninitiated, Darren Bennett had a very successful AFL career with both West Coast and Melbourne...)
In the 1970s, the Patriots had a rep for inadequate kickers and punters. The kickers tended to be straight toe kickers rather than what we called "soccer style." They did get one soccer style kicker, Charlie Gogolak, at the end of his career, but for the most part the Pats were really backwards. A radio talk show (the "Sport Huddle") went over to England to have a contest for "Super Foot," a soccer player who would come over to the USA and get a try out with the Pats. The winner of the contest was a guy named Walker, who didn't do much with his try out, but the runner up was John Smith, who had a long career with the Pats and I think used to an NFL highlight show for the BBC.

After the success of Smith, the radio show tried to find an Aussie rules punter to be "The Kanagaroo Kid" for the Patriots. The Pats gave him a pro-forma tryout and cut him. The staff of the 70rys and 80s (Chuck Fairbanks, Ron Earhardt, Raymond Berry) were very conservative. They could accept a soccer-style kicker because it had already proven successful, but they were not going to innovate with an Aussie rules punter.

9 sacks last week. Up to that point, the Pats only had 16 sacks all year.

Actually before the BBC - when Channel Four began covering the sport, in 1982, Frank Gifford was lead presenter with Smith drafted in as reporter, to provide a UK connection. (was it really 42 years ago - sheesh!...)

Drake Maye was impressive again. Threw a pick on the last drive on a 3rd &13, but otherwise a very composed performance. They moved the ball pretty consistently.

Word...

Coach Everlose didn't think an extra few yards might help the kicker.  They could well go from 4-2 to 4-13 this season...

Credit to the Bills - they took full advantage of uncharacteristic hesitancy, in the Chiefs Secondary (two of the BIlls TD's should have been stopped). Not the ideal game to have an off-day. However, it's not unusual for the Chiefs to lose to the Bills, in Buffalo, during the regular season - but still 3 - 0, against Allen, when it really matters... ;)

There was always a pushover on thanksgiving, its just switched from the lions to the cowboys. Can’t wait to hear the announcers try to convince us it isn’t the worst game of the season

Cowboys never should have cut Ben DiNucci.
