After Monday night, I suspect that the Saints' QB shall be forever known as 'Shutout Spencer'... ;)

One from Christmas Day - Mahomes passed Peyton Manning for the most regular season touchdown passes (245) through eight career seasons. Oh - he reached this landmark in seven seasons... ;)

here's a topic: looking back, would either side regret the Goff / Stafford trade? Absolutely the right deal for Detroit, and Stafford did get the Rams a Super Bowl win. Did the Rams get a little too desperate? Stafford did ask for a trade, but Goff had already gotten the Rams to one Super Bowl. Stafford is still performing at a high level, so it's not clear that they'd be better with Goff even now. I think the only second guessing might be on the Rams side, with perhaps Stafford wistful when he sees what the Lions became.

It's arguably the fairest trade in sports history. Neither team would undo it.

Goff was the wrong guy for McVay and the right guy for Johnson.

Drew Lock has turned into Peyton Manning, and he's costing the Giants the #1 pick.

Bad move on the NYG part to play a qb who is fighting for a contract somewhere next year

#2 seed for the Eagles.  Commanders or Packers?  Hmmm?

They might need a QB for the playoffs. No word on Hurts concussion status and Kenny Picket has broken ribs (and had a cortisone shot during halftime but couldn't return).

Hurts will be fine.   I am sure he will play a series or two against the Giants. And I think McKee is better than Pickett although he lacks experience.

They said earlier today that Hurts will be ready next week...

The halftime show on NBC said there was no update on him. There was talk that the Eagles may not play starters next week.

Those guys are morons.  The most likely scenario is that they play Hurts for like one quarter at least to shake the rust off.  And no running.  or at least slide when you do.  And I can't see them not giving Barkley a chance at the record.

That means the O line plays. I reminds me of Staley getting players injured in a meaningless game and then wondering why fans were furious over the playoff exit that followed

It’s hard to rest all the starters in football. There are really not enough backups.  Like OL.  Usually there are only 3 or 4 subs. DL guys rotate anyway. One of the starting LBs was out this week so probably put another week. TE is eligible to come off IR. Is he probably needs a couple series to shake the rust off. Probably the back up WRs will reat. Smith hurt his wrist yesterday. Most likely the starters will play some and then go out. The giants players won’t want to get hurt either. They just had their win.

Please don’t compare a 13-3 team that was in the Super Bowl two years ago to a Staley team. It’s in poor taste.

Not sure what you mean.  The Lions are still playing for their division and the #1 seed.  Every game matters for them.

Well I was wrong.  Siriani is going to sit Barkley and other starters. And Hurts has not passed concussion protocol. Although they have had a few days of practice off so that could be a factor. Tanner McKee all the way. He has man hands.  As opposed to Kenny.
