As a Pats fan, I wonder if Daniels's performance will increase the pressure to start Maye.

Maybe. I’m sure there are some people sweating in Chicago

Looks like a personal tragedy on a number of fronts. Unfortunate that he should choose to reveal his medical diagnosis in that setting - could be construed as seeking the 'sympathy vote'...

He stole money from poor people to fund a drug company. Did he catch terminal volleyball too?

Stellar defensive performance, from the Chiefs, who had their 11th consecutive road win against the Chargers. Another day for the record books - Mahomes now leads in wins (77), passing yards (29,328) and passing touchdowns (225) for a QB thru the first 100 starts. Travis Kelce becomes the franchise leader for TE receptions (922) and reception yards (11,486).

Not looking good for Rice - scans are expected to confirm a serious knee injury. I suspect we won't see him again, this season.

Despite the offensive struggles, the Chiefs go to 4 - 0 and are the only unbeaten team in the AFC - defence wins championships... ;)

A Thursday Night Football classic between two elite QBs: Baker Mayfield and Kirk Cousins. 36-30 Falcons in OT.

I always liked Cousins. I don't think he's ever going to win the NFC or a Super Bowl, but he's had so much better a career than most 1st rounders. Always thought a key point in the Commies history was the decision to go with RGIII in the playoff rather than Cousins. Not only a better QB, but it would have preserved RGIII's body and trade value.

I think he would have been well liked by a franchise if he was drafted elsewhere. Going behind RG3 meant he would never get a fair shake here (the rumors now is that it was obvious he was better from day 1). Bruce botched the extension and turned him into a mercenary and he was always going to clean up in free agency, so he got contracts he could never live up to. If he had a chance in year 2 or 3, played like he did and then got a normal extension, he probably would have stayed in one place

As it is, he has to be one of the all-time highest earners in football. He may even top Brady if he plays 15+ years. Brady was always a bit underpaid into his mid-career because he had Giselle's money and was willing to take a step back to have guys like his line and his best receivers paid.

Bruce is was dumb enough to let a franchise qb enter unrestricted free agency early in their career. No other GM has been that stupid

After their first year everyone said he wasted a pick on Cousins when he got an elite QB in RG3.  No one knew Cousins would last this long.  At this point he has little mobility and they will start to blitz him and he will get hurt.

By the time he played under the franchise tag, it was obvious that he was a talented passer.

1-4 playoff record.  Although I will say he played fine that last one against the Giants.

money wise, 2 franchise tags, the contract with the Vikings played out, and I think he landed a couple year with the Falcons. he's doing quite right.

the google says he's earned $230 million in DC and Minnesota and now has  a 4 year $180 million contract with $100 million guaranteed.

I think he'll end up 3rd or 2nd for career earnings after his contract, behind Stafford and probably Rodgers, depending on how long Rodgers plays. pretty sure he passes Brady, Wilson, and Ryan. he's only $40 million behind Brady now.

My two early games are Miami/NE and Jacksonville/Indy. That seems unfair.

Jordan Love was just about to get sacked in the endzone, so he tried to chuck the ball out of bounds, and right into the hands of a defender who walked it into the end zone.
