I don't think so. He was pretty dominant in Japan last year and added 1MPH to his FB. Someone will give him a shot (Philly?)And think about the cross-promotion opportunities....

No to Bellinger. Had a career year last year, was miserable both seasons prior, and has never been patient enough to keep up his OBP. This will be yet another Boras contract the buyer regrets.
No way we even get into the bidding, with OF being our deepest long-term position. He's going to make more money than we'd want to lock up at 1st. I'd rather go shorter and grab Hoskins at 1st. Yamamoto, OTOH, it'd be criminal not to make a token 7 year, $175 million bid. That may not even get a call back from his agent. Probably should offer him the Scherzer 2015 deal.
How about the other Japanese pitcher. Imanaga. Seems he would be more in the Nats money range.
Imanaga is 5 years older, I think. Also a bit homer prone. I'm not sure his stuff holds up.
139 days until the Nats open up in Cincinnati.
There were many gnats in the yard today at our daughters house. So that made me think of our Nats.
I have noticed in the past on rival boards if somebody wants to be derogatory to our boys they refer to them as gnats.
My friend told me the Yankees announcers used to call them those pesky gnats in the early years. BarvesMuttsFilthies. GnatsAll good banter.
Kinda shocked they're not protecting Henry.
i'm not. There is no way Cole Henry is going to be on a major league roster all season next year. He threw 33 innings last year with a 6.21 ERA. In his 18.1 innings at AA he posted a 10.31 ERA.
And then there's the Marlins.
I was thinking a team could try and convert him to the bullpen the way we did with Ward.
