So BIL has a fan club.  DcFan does too, only a very different club

We have to listen to the wailing and gnashing of teeth when two bags leaves. Not to mention more of BiL talking about the number of people who tried to hit him up for tickets.

Just a fun fact for those of us of a certain age:  Bregman’s grandfather, Stanley Bregman, was Bob Short’s lawyer and lead counsel for the Washington Senators.

So this is personal. :whip:

Dont forget all of the insufferable douches who will stick around to tell all the new comers how bad of fans they are because they joined the  board after the WS

Don't be dense. There's an actual thread on here encouraging fans to jump on the bandwagon. We all know it's all good for growing the fan base.

Always remember this - whatever’s on the board I already know about it because I was here years before you. ;)

Not so sure you're right here - but, what do you want ?  A metal ?

Pull up the member list, sort the date registered and look at the shiny numbers.

Ps I already have metal in one knee and I’ll find out on Wednesday if I get a matching set in the other knee. ;)

The point here is having been on WNFF earlier really has no meaning or value.  It's like saying "I learned Algebra before you did".

If we win there is no need to keep WNFF open anymore. Mission accomplished.

That conclusion is really silly.  Future years will have members providing/seeking info on Nats games, MLB activities, and even the info on other topics, such as what is going on in the DC area.  The poster here needs to come to a meet & great next year to see the friendliness of people who are WNFF members - even maybe Slateman.

If we win there is no need to keep WNFF open anymore. Mission accomplished.

Pray for the bullpen.

Astros bullpen has been quite awful this post-season, last I saw ERA was over 4.

Nightengale notes: “ The Houston #Astros are the biggest World Series favorite since the #Redsox over the #Rockies in 2007, per @betonline_ag). They are 5/11 favorites while the Washington #Nats are 19/10 underdogs.”

Has anyone seen a good analysis of how each team compares by position ?

For sure. If they win the joy will last about 24 hours.

Love this: https://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/27885883/astros-biggest-world-series-favorites-2007

Keep playing loose!

Reminds me of the Braves in the late 1990s, particularly 1996 -- they have Maddux, Smoltz, Glavine, and they've won recently. Valid points, but they then got matched many times on the starting pitching side, and the opponents didn't play their way out of it but produced, especially late.

who cares about the bullpen?  We just need 4 complete game shutouts.  Is that too much to ask?
