I would not be surprised if Martinez does a better job this year with Harper gone; I had heard the clubhouse was tired of his "holier than thou" attitude and the general "Harper > team" attitude that saturated the organization. Davey's upbeat style works well with a lineup and pitching staff of dudes like Doolittle, Eaton, Scherzer, etc.

We're not going anywhere with Difo at 2B. He can't hit, is a mediocre fielder and has the knack of getting picked off base at the worst possible moment.

This news really bums me out. I’m not a longtime baseball fan like a lot of you. I started watching his rookie year because I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I became a huge fan, and a big part of that was him. I have to think he has had that effect on many others as well. It’s going to sting a little to see him in anything other than a Nats uniform. That being said, I left work and hit the whiskey, and decided to write a song. To the tune of “Bye Bye Bye” by *Nsync.
