He probably came pretty cheap.

After all the cutbacks they probably needed that.

Well like I said he's rolling with it very well and really winning people over on twitter, someone said he's on espn deportes so he's not s novice in front of a camera, maybe he just needs to get more familiar with football?

And how many college sideline reporters who know the game and are competent would kill for the chance to be on Monday night football? For a league that pulled Robert Lee from a game to avoid twitter controversy, trotting out someone who is in no way prepared for their job is a joke

Wow, never thought about it that deep.    It does seem like a 2nd rate production.

That's exactly what I thought when I heard about what was happening on twitter. They put him in a bad spot.

Yeah Ryan wasn't all that good either. But he wasn't embarrassing like whatever that dude's name was. And he knows the game and could be understood. Even the woman they had doing the play by play was not good. She isn't awful but she isn't good either. She's good enough to do secondary college games but not MNF. Her and Pam Ward are the best they have to offer so if they wanted a woman in the booth they didn't have much to choose from. :? I also remember when they used Chris Berman. :smh:

I think ESPN is becoming irrelevant and they feel it.

I forgot which fight it was but they used that clown (Stephen a Smith) to be part of the broadcast. Predictably, he was freaking awful. Aside from basketball and SOME football, that joker knows about as much about sports as skippy does.

If they hadn't mentioned it a couple of times during the broadcast I would have never known it was Rex Ryan. Can't wait to see what nonsense they crap out next week.

Maybe Rex can hire his brother Rob to assist him in the booth.

That's the only game Rex Rayn and Beth Mowins will be doing. It was a one time thing because of the extra Monday night game for opening weekend.
