just saw the hit on Adams, that was absolutely brutal.  The guy on the bears who led with his head ought to be suspended for at least 6 games.

I have to admit that I am completely baffled at fan reaction in these games. The ravens' PA just said before the anthem to join the ravens players for a moment to reflect on unity, equality and whatever else he said (this was before the anthem) and when the ravens team took a knee for about the length of 3 seconds there were loud boos greeting them. :wtf: They got right back up for the anthem so I am really confused.

I don’t understand paying for a ticket and giving up a Sunday afternoon to go see people you obviously despise play a game

That too occurred to me once the ball was kicked off.

Which they did but that's baltimore. That doesn't explain to me why people are objecting so strongly to this. And for the record, it wasn't everyone at the stadium. It was just a certain percentage but when, for example, 10K out of 80K people are making noise while the other 70K are silent it makes it sound like it was most of the attendants when it really wasn't. My issue is that the ravens dealt with this in a way to separate the issue from the flag and anthem in order to spare the feelings of some and yet they still boo. Are they booing the concept of unity and equality?

I count at least 3 TV analysts that were former cowboys. Daryl Johnston just said "we" when talking about the cowboys OL. :lmao:

Deshaun Watson looks 2011 Aaron Rodgers right now.  If he keeps this up, the Texans are going to be the surprise force to be reckoned with.

Hyperbole on my part, but Watson has a great stat line at the half against a very good defense.

refs putting crap in the game in dallas.

That was such a bullcrap call.

Spider - our fans (and citizens) know places like NKorea & Russia throw people in jail when the citizens speak out. Fans/citizens don't want the USA to be like that.  There's a strong feeling with fans/citizens that the President of the USA should not be telling a private organization to fire people when those people express ideas that our President disagrees with.

I may not understand why people are booing but I'm pretty sure it's not because of this. :lmao:

So you’re saying people want to be more like Russia and north
Korea? You do realize they’re booing the people protesting?

The Rams, Bills, and Texans all have a chance of being major surprise teams this year.

The Jaguars have a slight chance, but they're way too bipolar.

The Lions might be a surprise in that they might not just be "sufficiently good" but actually one of a handful of teams that could get a top 2 seed in the NFC.

Really interesting NFL season shaping up so far.

Cowboys may be the team to tumble. The redskins’ wins are both looking decent
