You ever played coed softball?

I filled in for my brother on his office team when he was on vacation. They threatened to disqualify me for unsportsmanship for turning a triple play. :?

But my comment was sarcastic.

they got rid of that about 3 years ago here. Speeds up the game, too. Probably added an extra inning on average.

Were the balls smaller or bigger?

Never made a lick of sense to me.  Glad to hear they got rid of that (haven't played for 10 years).

Hey, slow pitch softball, if you walk a girl, it's two bases.

In my league it's two bases for a guy if it's on 4 pitches. If it's on more than 4, then just 1 base.

I only saw one AB tonight and it happened to be Harper.  He looked off and then took two steps out of the box on a ball in play before heading back to the dugout.  Seems like maybe he should take a few more nights off.  I really don't want to see him compensate for his injury and then screw up his swing/approach.

Harper should not be playing tomorrow.  Not even at the pretend position.

To make it clear I was mainly concerned about his health, not his performance.

No - I haven't looked at his performance by month.  Does this difference have anything to do with how much he chaws on during the game ?

I would imagine that the two are very closely correlated, Mathguy.

His BA is shooting up. Think he has a legit shot at the Triple Crown?

Not sure he'll catch Stanton for HR's.

Harper's career slugging percentage is now at .503.

May: .360 / .495 / .884, 13 home runs, 31 hits, 22 BBs in 109 PAs/86 ABs
June: .417 / .525 / .771, 4 home runs, 20 hits, 10 walks in 59 PAs/48 ABs

I haven't seen anything like this since Gretzky's 92 goal season.

more likely will be rbis. Since when he hits hrs they are all solo. While stanton hit a 3 run one last night. He has Harper by 10 in rbis now.

Something tells me Stanton will slow down, especially if/when the Marlins start to really suck. He sure was whiny at the beginning of the year, like a diva, "if nobody else is lifting their weight I'm not gonna lift mine." I'm more worried about the BA, Bryce is going to have to compete with Goldschmidt who is an MVP candidate himself and Dee Gordon who is going to literally run into hits.

You really just called Stanton a diva? And do you actually have a source for that Stanton quote... because I'm not buying it.

SMH. This board sometimes.
