7-8-9 went 0-39 this series, according to Ray.
...and yet we won the series...
The game seemed ideal for a solid Strasburg start. After the exhausting game Tuesday, the Brewers rested three of their regular players: Aramis Ramirez, Ryan Braun and Jonathan Lucroy. And just like the Nationals, the remaining Brewers regulars would likely be tired. Strasburg was opposed by Brewers right-handed starter Marco Estrada, the worst starter in baseball by some measures. Estrada coughed up the most home runs (2.41 shots per nine innings) and had the worst FIP (5.77) in baseball.
9, I don't care about, but Espinosa is just horrendous and Leon should be backing up Lobaton in Syracuse. Until Ramos gets back, those three spots will be innings killers
And still, we took two of three, from a division leader, on their home field. With one third of our offense missing in action. I see good things coming, when we get back to full strength.
You have to be encouraged by the way they've played the last three weeks. (Ahem, except vs. the Cards.)
yes, that was an air pocket, but if you look at the GDT index, there's a lot of s in the left column of page 1.
Yup. 14-9 on page 1.
This thread should be locked as long as the team is in first
This is the one folks. Bending over for a 7.00 ERA guy with no MLB experience at Coors Field against arguably the Nats ace. I am bumping this now!!
For all the belly aching done about our offence and despite all the injuries, we are 3rd in runs scored per game and one of those teams ahead of us is Colorado.
Worst offensive performance and I end up with 50% off pizza?
