Good, give up some prospects, get Upton, keep Storen, or do nothing. That's fine with me

Upton is a much worse player, what is your deal, anyway?

lol both tweets are a little bit saddening. It's like they are both being dragged away from something they like and being placed in a craphole.

I saw that when I check one of my fantasy teams this morning.  Pirates as buyers?  Insane!

Span is a really good CF but if we can work a package of prospects/Desmond/reliever not named Storen for Upton I'd rather make that move.

Also, freak Ed Wade. Seriously, freak that guy for trading Pence and Bourn for crap.

Go get Upton. His price should be a bit less than Bourn. Upton gives us elite defense, solid numbers, and a some potential for growth.

Above all, I think being in a slightly more hitter friendly park coupled with no longer having the worst fans in baseball will help him out a lot.

Upton belongs in a corner OF spot and has a much worse OBP - I feel like I'm takinjg crazy pills.

My biggest, screaming problem with this possible Span/Storen trade is the concussion.  No, I don't want Storen traded but to trade him for someone who's been on the DL for 2 months because of a concussion is insane.  Concussions are pernicious injuries and the fact that he's missed two months means this wasn't a "minor" one...as much as any brain injury could be considered minor.

I could also deal with standing pat at CF and improving the rest of the team around the centerfield position.  I also think the Twins don't have "clean hands" in this, ie they're trying to exact something extra for damaged goods they're trying to unload (and have no other trading partners) because of the Capps-Ramos trade.

Unreal the Braves and Phillies both got steals on players better than Span. We'll have to give up a legit player unlike those guys just to get him. :bang:

The rich get richer, the poor get poorer. The Astros are going to be awful for the next decade.

I guess i'd settle for upton, there is no denying he has the most potential out of all the CF'ers out there, maybe he just need's a change of scenery.

Yeah. I can't believe we couldn't have had Bourn, though.

One of my biggest concerns about pursuing Upton as opposed to Span is my view of the general manager sitting on the other end of each deal.  Bill Smith I am not so worried about making deals with, Andrew Friedman, on the other hand, not so much.  I do not think it likely that a deal for Upton would be made on favorable terms.

I really hope you're kidding, Bernadina sucks. Upton isn't that great either but he's much better than Roger in terms of power, speed, and defense. And i really could give two freaks about what these stupid sabermetric stats say I've watched both of em play centerfield and Upton is >>>>>>>>>Bernadina by a mile. And when it comes to winning games I'd rather have the unclassiest person in the world than a class act who blows elephant cock.

B.J. Upton is batting .226 this year. He hit .237 last year and .241 the previous.  OBPs .308, .322, .313.  And he is a bad citizen. What am I missing? Why are we trying to trade for him?

And he must be kidding about speed. Roger is one of the fastest guys in MLB.
