shut.up. >:(
It's a fact in my mind.

I do wonder how many of us here know more about running an advertising rates and ratings business than ESPN.  Personally, I'm a enough of a baseball fan to prefer fewer Red Sox games on ESPN and Fox and more teams I don't get to see enough, like the Twins, Tigers, Rockies, and Brewers (I get enough Cards and Cubs).

I don't doubt that it's true, it's just that the reminder that this is a ghost town for Nats fervor is rather painful. :?

In other news: The Toronto - Philly series was moved from Toronto to Philly... Wtf is with that? freak Philly. Halladay returning to Toronto would've been sweet.

Diamondbacks just lost again.

The "KFYM Must Eat a Hat" watch stands as follows:

Giants 18-12
Tigers 17-14
Nats 17-14
Reds 16-15
Diamondbacks 14-18

The hat will taste better if the Nats find a way to make the postseason.

Anyone know of a good playoff % tracking site?

The Reds are surprising and the Tigers are overperforming. The surprising suck of the Dodgers is offset by the success of the Padres. Baseball has more parity than you would think.

Yeah... that seems highly unfair. No team should be allowed 84 home games.

I am looking. I heard it from word of mouth but people were saying that it were true. I'll see if its fact or if I'm just gullible.

That would have been my guess.  I think you'll find this interesting:

More likely champions than wild card? I feel like the Central and West have 1 good team each (Padres are a mirage).

Next time you log on to mindfact.com, can you get the percentages for the other hat-eating teams? Thanks!

There are only 4 other teams in the division, vs. 15 in the league.  Usually it's "easier" to win the division, in a perverse way.

Hat eaters?  Which ones are those?

If we can sweep the next 3 against the Mets, we'd be guaranteed a winning division record through the end of June.  Same if we go 2-1 and then split the two-game series on the 19th-20th.

The awesomeness of the firejoemorgan site (and JCA here) offsets the douchiness of other Sawx fans.  O's fans are annoying douches sometimes.   There's a whole, "We were here first!!!" mentality with some of them.  No, the Nationals were winning pennants before Cal Ripken was in his mother's womb, freakwads.

No it doesn't, and you're full of crap about the Tigers/Reds.  The Reds have some legit talent (Votto might be the best unheralded player in baseball), and the Tigers haven't really gotten their pitching going yet.

I'm not surprised by the performances of any of the teams I named - they're all right where I thought they'd be.  Unfortunately, I totally underestimated the Nats.

Knorr said he would cook and eat his hat if the Nats had better playoff chances than the Reds, Giants, Tigers, or DBacks, which I said they did.

Your other statement is true if all of the divisions had equally tough teams.

So...how does that guarantee us a better than .500 record through June?

We're 9-9 against the NL East going into tonight's game.  We have 5 games against the Mets between now and the 20th, and then none against the NL East after that until June 28th :tomatoes:
