Jon Heyman:
"If Ken Griffey Jr. really was sleeping during a game in the clubhouse, he should either retire or get help for his sleeping situation."
Another reason why Jon Heyman is the biggest moron around. WTF does that sentence even mean?

Incredible how one day sports writers are pulling a Two Girls, One Cup with Junior and the next they want him completely out of baseball. Joe Sheehan weighs in:

I pretty much agree with Sheehan.  Griffey sucks, it's time.  As for the sleeping, why didn't somebody just yell at him "Griff, time to go!"?   Billy Ripken was saying this week that lots of players have quirks regarding preparation, and pitchers in particular may get a little "quiet time" before they are expected to be called on.  All that being said, what the #@ was he doing?     :bang:

:lmao: Perfect assessment.  The mediots when on and on about Griffey's awesome clubhouse presence last season.  Now he's washed up and not in the game.  Which is it, douchebags?

Mediots are not of one mind on the subject.  Sheehan is firmly in the stats-centric group, which hasn't been high on Griffey for a while now.

I'm talking about mediots like Heyman, the kind you'd find getting ridiculed at FJM back in the day.

They should make amphetamines available in the locker rooms again. Kinda hard to sleep when your all hopped up on greenies.

I was listening to somebody on the radio the other day who played played for the Raiders in the late 70's or early 80's and he said they would put them in a punch bowl in the middle of the locker room. He said when the would leave the locker room to run out on the field guys would grab handfuls of amphetamines and pop them in their mouth.

I would think so, there isn't anything bad in it that I'm aware of.

Half of the Tigers are now sporting mohawks  I believe this was Zumaya's doing.

Must be working, since the Tigers just beat the Yankees 3 out of 4.

The White Sox all had goatees a few years back.  Really stupid looking.  Bobby Jenks looked like Col. Sanders.

Yankees ban facial hair and long hair. That's why Damon stopped looking like the Geico caveman.

Marlins are trouncing the Mets.  Philly and Atlanta are both in close games at the moment.
