I would love this.  I was hoping he would get the nod during spring training.

Although, I don't know if Morgan is going to be able to cover center, left, AND right field...

Why the hell not? We've got nothing to lose. I hope it happens.

Willie Harris a solid utility/backup guy. He should not be a starter. He's had a couple of good stretches, but overall he is mediocre at best.

Dudes - last I checked, Cole hamels is a lefty.  This may be doom for the Willie T side of the platoon :), but it does not mean Harris is out of a job against RHP.  Harris and Morse should have been the combo all the way along.

Don't underestimate Nyjer, I think I'm seeing more leadership out there, Willingham looked better on defense on Monday than he did in Saturday's exhibition game, watch Nyjer, you can see him getting on these guys for upping their defensive game, he's not cutting them any slack.

Hamels is a reverse splits guy.

Nyjer continues to perform on offense - asking the other guys to help on defense is pretty fair.

Mild.  Career xFIP is a normal split but practically equal (vs. LHB- 3.44 / RHB 3.67), WHIP is a slight reverse (1.22 /1.16), BABIP and average are close. The big negative is HR/9, where he is bad vs LHB (1.53) and normal vs. RHB (1.08).  Frankly, I'll guess most successful lefty starters have a slight reverse split, just not as extreme as Lannan.  Hamels reverse split does not justify sending up Willie Harris against him because lefties kill Willie most of the time.

Hamels second best pitch is his change up. Lefties take that pitch away and leave him with his fastball and not much else.

#Nats RF Mike Morse is in the lineup. He is hitting 7th in the order. The Willie Harris/Willy Taveras platoon is likely over. #nationals.com

With Morse batting seventh, who do you think is in the two hole tonight?

So, I wonder if that will be a Harris/Morse platoon or if it will be Morse's job outright...

I'd still be pretty upset if Guzman is starting at SS or 2B and hitting second tonight, though.

Desmond is at shortstop and batting second, per Twitter sources.

With Hamels on the mound, I can see Guzman starting at 2B.  Kennedy struggles against lefties and hits righties much better.  And Morse should start in RF to get his bat in the lineup.  His defense is shaky for sure but they have to live with it.  Harris/Morse is the platoon in RF.

Edit - looks like Kennedy is in the lineup.

I like Desmond batting 2nd. Nice 1-2 with Nyjer and Ian. Then you got big boppers in Zim, Dunn, and Willingham to follow

I still think a platoon in RF is a good idea and of Willie Harris and Morse (code) is a good combination. Glad to see Morse (code) getting more of a shot to play more time in the game.
 Still a Willllleeeee Harris fan.

Riggleman fielding a winning lineup  Marquis gives us a chance, no exaggeration. Just keep us in it and let the bats try to find some mistakes.

Manny - wait until we lose 7 straight
Riggs- Losing 11-1 on Opening Day is intolerable

I don't think it's just Riggs saying it's intolerable, I think we'll see a fired up team tonight
